In august 2021 we had a new HVAC unit installed, it was not installed correctly. The line set was not changed and it was too small for the new unit, 5/16th lines set vs a 3/8ths. We attempted to contact the furnace man at that time, left messages and no return call. This past month our brand new unit they installed completely stopped working, the new compressor blew up because the lines set was too small, we called furnace man and left message to call us to see. No call back now over 2 weeks. Our warranty is no good on the unit since it was not installed correctly. Being summer with 2 small kids we had to pay out of pocket for a brand new unit from a different company. We would like to be reimbursed for the cost. Our new unit is nicer than the one they installed, so the cost of the unit they did install would be sufficient. We attempted to have them correct the issue themselves but no follow up was ever provided. Here is the report from diagnostics done after the original install from another company showing how it was incorrectly done. Per TP107 long lineset application guide, unit MUST be installed with 3/8 lineset, and TXV on AHU. Unit currently has a 5/16 lineset and a .57 piston Blower speeds set incorrectly. Unit was set for 450cfm, requires a minimum of 700cfm to operate properly. 1Customer response

Thank you for informing us of this complaint. Mr. ******** is a 2-10 home buyers warranty customer hes not a furnace man customer. We were hired by 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty to replace only his air handler and condensing unit this was all his home warranty approved we were not able to do any other work without 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty approval and authorization. We don't know the exact details of Mr. ******** contract between him and 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty. We advised Mr. ******** to contact his home warranty to resolve his issues with them. We would like to also inform you that this is a consent issue that we faced with 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty when it comes to them replacing any equipment for there customers they are not willing to cover the true cost of replacement in order to do things properly. For this reason The Furnace Man Heating and Cooling has made the executive decision to longer be affiliated with 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty and we have suspend all business relations because they still owe us money for invoices that have yet to be paid. Our best regards to Mr. ******** and his family and we are very sorry that hes going through oll this with his home warranty because we are as well.
