On 4/13/24 I delivered my motorcycle and a new set of Wheels & Tires for the dealership to install. On 5/9/24 I received a call my motorcycle was ready. On 5/9/24 I made a trip to the dealership to pay $426.54 for the work completed stating I would have my brother in law bring me to the dealership to retrieve the bike and old wheels/tires later same day. Brother-in-Law is a witness to all damages. When I arrived to obtain the bike and old wheels/tires, we noticed the front wheel on the motorcycle looked like it had something dripping all around the wheel. I asked the owner Ben Baxter what happened to my front wheel? He stated they only use soap & water to seat the tire bead to the wheel. I stated I used **** Dish Washing Detergent to put the wheel on the rim and it didn't stain the wheel. He then stated it was because of faulty Power Coating. So! My soap and water didn't stain the Powder Coating but his soap and water DID? We spoke about possible solutions and he asked to keep the bike a couple days and they would try cleaning the wheel. Whatever they actually used to clean the wheel stripped all the shine from the surface. Now my rear wheel has a shiny chrome look and my front wheel has a dark grey look. They no longer match as a set. Given the shop had already damaged my wheels I wanted to get my motorcycle out of their hands so I took the bike home and immediately began cleaning and looking the bike over for any further damage. When I pulled the right saddle bag I seen where they damaged my rear fender. Once I reached the front of the bike I noticed the front fender was also damaged. See attached digital pictures that show the dates when the pictures were taken. This verifies the condition of the wheels when delivered to the dealership, the condition of the front wheel when damage was noted as well as the condition of the wheel after the dealer tried to clean it. The fender damage pictures will show the same date I retrieved the motorcycle.
