      ****n Home Inspection performed a home inspection on our new home. During the inspection stated that the ice maker on the fridge was not in proper functioning condition. However, the ice make is in good operating condition but the compressor is bad and the replacement cost for the fridge is $12,000 as it is a Subzero model. Also, the inspector stated that the dishwasher was operating properly and it does not. Had we been made aware of these issues prior to closing, we would have begun to renegotiate with the seller. Two emails were sent to the company with no reply. Finally, a call was placed to the owner and he states that he returned our call, but oddly enough, neither of us haver an email. I want this addressed as this whole experience has cost my family a great deal of money and could have been avoided if the inspector had properly identified the issues.

      Please see the attached report, page 28. 


      Our tech marked the refrigerator as poor and made a note that the ice maker did not appear to be functioning.  We also recommended further review of the refridgerator functions.


      Per our test the dishwasher appeared to be functioning properly during our inspection process.  Problems can occur after an inspection is completed.

      I am rejecting this response because: in typical fashion, Mr **** is missing the point. He states that the ice maker was broken. However, he is incorrect. If he would listen, then he would understand that the ice maker does function. Rather, there is an issue with the compressor. Furthermore, the dishwasher does not work and has not. The inspector made many mistakes and this issue is not going away. Had his inspector performed the job and identified the CORRECT issues, we would have been able to discuss with the seller. There job was to identify issues and they did not do the job adequately. 
      Also, had he responded when we reached out the first 2 times, I wouldn’t have been as frustrated with this. I will have an attorney handle this if he does not make this issue good. This is the last thing we want to do, but, he has left us no choice.

      We said the Refridgerator was bad on February 21th 2022 and further review recommended . How long did he take to call a service tech , this was suspossed to be done before closing .

      I am rejecting this response because: if the failure of the owner to recognize his poor performance…unfortunately, we will go the route of litigation. Also, future consumers will need to know the unwillingness of this company to own their mistakes.
