Horrible customer service. Brought in a metal part that had literally fallen off a newer zero turn mower being used for the start of a second season. The metal part covers around the back of the mower engine. It was a structural fail that shouldn't have happened. The service guy at Koenig told us he'd never seen this happen in a mower this new. He also told us the mower was only under warranty for a year which was INCORRECT INFORMATION from a John Deere dealership!? John Deere corporate stated the parts were under warranty for two years. As a result of being given the wrong warranty information, instead of having the two pieces replaced - at John Deere's cost $120 - we had to opt for having the pieces welded back together with NO GUARANTEE it would even work - AT OUR COST $50. John Deere Corporate stated we needed to find a way to get the mower to the dealership, again at our cost even though it was supposed to be under warranty. This was not possible for us to do at this time. John Deere Corporate stated that Koenig should have sent the warranty information to them such that the part would be covered. We've been given misinformation on both sides to which neither John Deere, nor Koenig, cares. I have multiple friends and family that run large farms. One in particular looked to purchase a new harvester. Guess who will NOT get the business. Some might say it's only $50. I say it's about PRINCIPLE and DOING WHAT'S RIGHT by loyal customers. Perhaps we can afford to lose the $50 more than John Deere or Koenig. I've been told that people over pay for "green paint" - they are the wise ones. BUYER BEWARE! Response to their excuses: Koenig apologizes they didn't own up to their mistake. Not knowing the warranty on John Deere, yet you're a dealership, is a 'mistake'? That's not reassuring on many levels. Since you claim it was a mistake on your part then FIX IT! Regarding not caring about me as a customer, you appear that you don't care.
