My wife and I were members of Planet Fitness BG for quite a while when we lived in Ohio. I went in person to cancel our membership before we moved to ***** in October of 2021. They assured me that our membership would be cancelled for the following month. Since then, we have been receiving monthly charges of $23.54. When I reached out to the manager at Planet Fitness by phone, they told me that the only way we could cancel our membership was by coming in person (which we already did and were no longer able to do because we now live in *****) or by sending a certified letter asking for our membership to be canceled. I refuse to spend an extra cent on cancelling this membership and will not send a certified letter to this company. I cannot visit another PF branch to cancel my membership because it is somehow against their policy. I have called and left messages for the manager and have not have my call returned multiple times. Additionally I would like to affirm that I, nor my wife, have made use of any of their services for the specified time period (10/31/2021 - 2/27/2023). It is clear that they have no intention of helping us and we have decided to ask you to intervene on our behalf. Thank you. They have made it very difficult to get records for charges and visits to their establishment (you can only show 90 days at a time), but I can prove it all through screenshare on the online portal if needed.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:
We would like to be refunded for our years of charges that we did not authorize nor consent to. If some or all of the time period stated in the original complaint could be refunded to us we would be extremely grateful. We are glad to have our account closed out, b ut this should have been done back in 2021. Thank you.
