10 year old child on my roof work was not completed and I had to threatened job abandonment for the company to come back and install the vents on my roof they left in my driveway. They installed all 4 vents in the wrong specified locations. Installed the ridge caps wrong reinstalled the gutters without gutter guard and left the gutters not fastened right. I agreed to the price with shutters included they did not include in the contract nor install them after we agreed on it being included. I paid out of pocket for the extra work insurance did not cover. The company continues to harass me even when the work was not satisfactory. I have pictures of all claims. The new shingles even have rips in some of the valleys.

This client has been threatening and attempting to extort our company since it came time to pay the bill.

We have text messages stating he was satisfied with the quality but still wanted shutters and new gutter guards, items that were not part of the original contract attached. These items were not contracted and not paid for. We provided the price to do these additional items that the client did not want to pay. We replaced the gutter guards that were pre-existing, we did not, however offer to install free gutter guards on the remainder of the dwelling. See photos to show no gutter guards were present on most of the home pre-install.

See also attached manufacturer installation instructions allowing caulked face nails on ridge cap shingles as this is the only possible way to complete a cap. No exposed fasteners would mean the final cap would have nothing but adhesive holding it down. We are a Master Elite installer for GAF and will offer to pay for an extended warranty for the client if this will get us paid.

I couldn't attach a 6th attachment to show we installed 4 roof vents, one more than was contracted.

We have gone above and beyond to do additional work that we were not paid to do nor did we contract.

The tear in the valley is hard to verify as it could just be the second layer of lamination of the shingle, but if this is a true issue, we would happily replace it if we were paid in full for the work performed to date.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: the work was not completed in a timely manner I had to say it was job abandonment in order for someone to come out work was originally done 9-9 but vents and errors were not completed until 11-29. Vents were not installed in the correct locations as the attachment shows Garringer my contractee admitted to. The job was not done as described and promised by Garringer. This still does not excuse having a 10 year old child on my roof at all. Furthermore, my family and myself have been doing roofs for over 30 years I think I know how to properly end a ridge cap! Nails should never show on a new roof and I should not have ripped shingles in the valley under the dragon tooth! Poor workmanship and customer service at best

      Sincerely,
