This mobile home park was sold, the new owners switched to paperless rent statements and stopped mailed rent statements all together. I went 5 months guessing what my rent was to get a money order for it. I contacted them several times times and included memos with my contact information and concerns, inside the envelope I dropped off at the office with my rent. I've also been charged $100 every month since they've purchased the park for "lot violation" even after resolving the issues within the given time frame stated in the document left on my door. I had purchased a car from a family friend who fell ill, was hospital ridden, and had his foot amputated shortly after the sell which prevented him from being able to get me the title to it. It was towed without warning, with no way of retrieving it or gaining access to the car to gather my tools I had inside it. Now they're trying to say they have no identifying documentation, background check, park application, or financial information on me and must reapply and pay another $35 application fee. I've lived here going on 3 years now, something is not right here!

      Business response

Hello, I'm responding to the complaint by Ms. *****-******.  Ms. ****** is 3 months behind in rent also she has been sent for eviction. I tried to help Ms. ****** by directing her to community actions for assistance with her rent, unfortunately they require a lease in the tenant's name, and I do not have one on file for her, I also have no records for Ms. ****** at all. I did find where Ms. ****** done a park application for park approval to live here, and it states denied. I cannot offer a lease to someone who was previously denied. She also states in her complaint that she had to guess what her rent was for 5 months which was a lie, she did not reach out to us at all until I contacted her. as for a 100.00 fee on her account she was being charged for refusing to clean up her lot. Mr. ***** has owned Zane Village since 1974 and still owns it. It has not sold like she claims, it has changed managers though over the past few years. If Mr. ***** decides to sell and if he does, he will send a letter to the residents by law.  She states in her complaint that she purchased a vehicle, and it was towed that was also a lie, Ms. ******s husband does auto repair on people's vehicles on the lot which is against park rules and regulations. and was sitting across the sidewalk and half out in the street. We gave the proper notice of the towing of the vehicle by law. I believe they had to pay for the owners of the vehicle to be gotten out of impound but I'm not sure. I have attached the emails between Ms. ****** and me for your review. I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner but I was out of the office for a family emergency, and I was also waiting on our attorney to contact me back on the complaint. I don't take evictions lightly especially when children are involved. I tried to help people as much as I can, but I have to follow the rules of my job and there is only so much I can do. Thank youDonna WarePark Manager Zane Village MHPPhone-(740) 775-4569email-zanevillagemhp@yahoo.com
