I was planning a wedding with ‘The Center’, with the event date being 5-21-21. I was originally working with ****** but she is no longer working there, so my wedding coordinator was changed. I paid the $1000 non-refundable deposit and I additionally paid $4000 for my room rental up front. Shortly after making the payments, For medical reasons I was unable to have my wedding in May of 2021. I understand not refunding the $1000 deposit, but the Center declined to return any of my other money paid. I was told that they would only return the money IF another person booked this date. Following that, they did not keep in touch to inform me whether or not someone booked that date. I repeatedly had to keep in touch with them. They were not accommodating for booking me for another date either. Thankfully, I was able to book my wedding with another venue on a later date once my health allowed. Every other vendor was accommodating on this by either using my deposit for another date OR refunding me except “The Center.” I am seeking reimbursement for the money I paid for the room rental.
