My finance recently visited Prosource on the recommendation of her contractor to meet with Teri E******, an account manager, for assistance in selecting hardwood flooring for our upstairs remodel. We already have hardwood floors downstairs and wanted a different pattern for upstairs that would still complement the existing flooring. Teri was very accommodating in scheduling the appointment, asking her to provide a time so she could plan her day around it. They agreed on September 3rd at 1:30 PM. She drove nearly 25 minutes to Prosource and arrived on time. Upon arrival, a gentleman directed her to Teri’s desk. She introduced herself, but before she could explain her needs, Teri informed her, she was waiting for another client and who had just arrived. She pointed her to three rows of hardwood samples and said she would join her shortly. She found this a bit odd and somewhat disrespectful, as they had agreed on the appointment time and she had arrived before the other client, who was white. Nonetheless, out of respect for her contractor, she began browsing the samples. After a few minutes, someone else approached her, stating she worked with Teri and would be helping her instead. Her suggestion was to replace our entire downstairs hardwood floor to match the upstairs, which was not what anyone would be looking for. Throughout her visit, Teri did not check in on her or offer any assistance. She left the store feeling disrespected and ignored as a customer. We will not be returning to Prosource and will seek other options in the *** area where we can find what we need without feeling that our time has been wasted.

Jennie, the sales person I worked with on another job, shocked and disappointed me when I found out that she inflated the charge by 25% for flooring. It cost a $1.06 per square foot more than the exact same store charged in Louisville . I purchased 2000 square feet. The price was literally $2000 more than the exact same flooring as the Prosource in Louisville where I had moved to. I recall asking if I should go thru Louisville and she said no she could handle it. I wanted Jennie to have the sale, so I didn’t mind the $150 transit fee or higher Ohio sales tax. Trust and loyalty mean something, right? Apparently not . I came back to her because I trusted her and believed that customer loyalty counts. I believed her when she told me she would give me the best price. I only found out when I needed another box and called the local store in Louisville to pick up another box that I was taken advantage of. I now know that each store has a different owner.. so I guess I can see maybe a bit of fluctuation from one store to another. I sent an email to the salesperson including above facts and also ask “I don’t know if you have the ability to adjust the price and give me a reasonable refund . I am honestly so shocked.” I received zero response and zero acknowledgement. I suggest you check more than one store when buying from Prosource… sad state of affairs.
