We had a first floor renovation of our home in ***** ** completed by ADRC Construction this past summer. While there were some stresses and difficulties during this renovation process - which for the most part can be expected - and outside of some minor finishing details that could have been corrected, the job was ultimately completed. A second, additional job (renovation of our Master Bathroom) was agreed upon, contract signed, and deposit paid, at the same time as the first job. Originally the bathroom renovation was going to commence shortly after the first floor was completed, but due to the approaching holidays combined with some personal/health related issues with ADRC Construction’s family, we agreed to postpone the bathroom until January 2023. Since the new year has been approaching, I have made multiple attempts to reach ADRC over the past several weeks (6 texts, 2 phone calls with 2 voicemails, 2 emails, and 1 message through ******** messenger), but have received no response. ADRC was paid a $4,000 deposit to reserve their services for this job. Communication with ADRC over the summer was not a major issue for the most part, and with us having already paid a hefty deposit, there is no logical reason as to why I could not have received even a short text reply to my communications. At this point, my wife and I want our $4,000 deposit refunded so that ADRC and my family can go in our own separate directions. We have two young children, we are both public school educators, and that deposit represents a very large sum of money that we put an immense amount of time, effort, and planning into obtaining and utilizing. That, combined with our feeling we have crossed the point of trustworthiness for a work relationship to continue with ADRC, has led us to this point. Attached Documents: Invoice 53: Bathroom estimate, showing deposit paid Invoice 54: 1st floor work, showing balance paid Invoice 67: Additional 1st floor work, showing balance paid
