  Ford and Sons installed a new roof onto our house. While removing the old shingles, they damaged the aluminum siding. After they completed the project, they attempted to remove the marks on the siding and made the issue worse. I was advised to contact a siding specialist to see what fix could be made to the siding. I was advised by 3 contractors that the only remedy was painting. I have received quotes to repaint the ranging from $5-6,000. i advised **** from Ford and Sons of the cost. He advised this morning that they are offering a $750 credit towards the invoice. Unfortunately, $750 will not repair the damage that the company has caused due to their negligence in the removal of the shingles i

  10 mins after we completed the install Mr. ******** called and said he had a couple issues so we sent back our foreman to address his concerns on the same day as the install. After talking to Mr. ********, the following day, my foreman came back out and addressed the homeowners concerns and we a received a confirmation text from Mr. ******** thanking us. A few days later we get another call from the ********’s stating there were a few black smudges on the front of their home so we picked up siding cleaner and cleaned the couple spots. The siding is 50+ year old aluminum siding with very old oxidized paint so you could see where we cleaned the area. The ********s didn’t like the result of the cleaning and didn’t wish for us to make any other attempt to get the reminder of the black marks off. When my men came back out the homeowners who were home went inside the house and didn’t want to talk to my employees so a solution wasn’t able to be discussed. We then started receiving and replying to text messages from Mrs. ********. During those conversations we offered her power washing and cleaning the exterior of her home by a professional company of her choice, touching up the paint, repainting the entire front of her siding of her house or discounting her invoice $750. All of these options were not satisfactory. Mrs. ********’s only solution was to paint all 4 sides of her house for a cost of $6000, its a bi-level home and you can only see one side at a time. The siding smudges need to be cleaned and time for the aluminum to oxides like the rest of the home. We have tried every possible solution to satisfy the customer but painting of her entire house is not a realistic resolution.

  we would agree to discount the invoice $1015.00 which is 25% of the painting of the home including the trim but excluding the shutters.

  I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ** ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

  I had no intentions of painting my house after the roof installation, in fact there was absolutely no need to paint the house, until the company created the damage.  I do not agree with the 25% and will not settle for that amount.
