Gabriella P******** business sense/communication skills seriously lack which left my fiancé and me frustrated to the point of terminating our contract and finding another photographer for our wedding. I also believe she has misrepresented her business/ratings online. We hired Gabriella in Mar ‘23 for our Jun ‘24 wedding. Our package included an engagement shoot also. We told her we wanted to send our save the dates using the photos by mid Sep. She scheduled the shoot for the last week of Jul, saying she’d have the photos back to us within a week. It took us 6.5 weeks to get our photos back. We followed up with her 4 times between the 4 and 6 week mark (combination of text, email, and voicemail) reminding her we need to send our STDs. With each follow up, she’d respond days later saying she’d send the photos “shortly” or “that day” and then never actually sent anything. we hit our deadline to send STDs so we actually took another engagement shoot with more of our time & money. After receiving the photos over 6 weeks late, we contacted her asking to terminate our contract given lack of communication we were worried for our wedding. We were met with multiple long winded, extremely unprofessional emails attacking us instead of apologizing for her missteps. She agreed to refund our deposit (less engagement shoot cost) but has since ghosted us and has not refunded us. Another observation I made is that 95% of the photos on her IG are not of real weddings. Upon realizing this I became very skeptical of if she really has any satisfied clients at all or just participates in a lot of workshops. Finally, I noticed most of the positive reviews on her ****** page are written by her friends with multiple ****** accounts. She is clearly trying to do this to cancel out any truthful negative reviews she is receiving. She also appears to have changed her business name in the past couple years so that her negative BBB review page doesn’t immediately come up when you ****** her.

This is my response to your review and the false, slanderous statements you've made about me online for the last 4 months. It saddens me deeply to address the misleading narrative that has been perpetuated. It is disheartening to find myself in a position where I feel victimized by the inaccurate portrayal of events, and I genuinely wish for a resolution and the ceasement of all harassment. Our initial agreement outlined an 8-week delivery time, and I am happy to inform you that the photos were delivered two weeks ahead of schedule. The proposition of a "1-week turnaround time" was offered for the first week of July because of my planned vacation during that period near your city. Understanding your differing commitments, we collaboratively chose a session date, designed not only to accommodate your schedule but also to minimize travel costs. In a gesture of gratitude and excitement to be your photographer, I invoiced only half the amount of the flight cost and we went an entire hour over session time. It's important to clarify that your gallery delivery adhered to our agreed-upon turnaround time. I meticulously structure my contracts to accommodate various timelines based on the season, ensuring accurate delivery estimates. Sometimes these delivery times change, because lets be real life happens, but this wasnt the case.I want to address what has been characterized as my "long-winded excuse." In reality, it was a sincere apology and a genuine effort to address your concerns, driven by my desire to continue our relationship. Beyond being a wedding vendor, I valued our human connection and was genuinely committed to resolving any concerns you had. Despite you wanting to cancel and dismissing all of my efforts, I kept trying.I extend my sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused by the several missed phone calls during a wedding I was at. Because of the special nature of those moments, I had to prioritize the event. I promptly responded on Monday following the wedding from the day before. As part of my professional practice, weekends are designated for weddings, and I ensured your engagement gallery was promptly addressed the day after my Sunday wedding.Regarding the delay in our communications, I refrained from providing lengthy excuses as we were still well within our contracted period. While email check-ins were not received, immediate action was taken upon your text, ensuring timely gallery delivery. An unforeseen eye infection posed a temporary challenge to my editing capabilities for a week. Despite this setback, I managed to deliver your photos on time, and I'm delighted by your positive reception, evident in your numerous social media shares.I want to bring attention to our prior agreement regarding the retention of the non-refundable retainer for services rendered, as discussed in your fianc's recent email. Cancellations, as per our contract, are expected in writing, and your compliance with this protocol is duly noted. The purpose of retainers is to secure dates and decline other potential bookings, including a close friend's wedding, a commitment I regretfully had to forego upon signing our contract. The retainer was agreed to be non-refundable as stated in our initial agreement which I never breached. The conclusion of our collaboration is regrettable, and it appears that there is little room for further discussion. While I was utterly surprised at the one-sided cancellation agreement you rushed to send me, I was equally uncertain about the necessity for the clause preventing me pursuing damages. It's disheartening to realize the situation, especially considering the continuous online harassment I've endured over the past 4 months. I can't help but feel victimized, and it deeply troubles me to think that you may be intentionally attempting to undermine my business. I hope for an end to this distressing situation and the chance to find a more positive resolution. I would like to clarify that a significant portion, 95%, of my work involves real couples, with the remaining 5% comprising workshops. Although these workshops are not presented as real weddings, they remain an integral part of my professional portfolio. My dedication lies in ensuring that every couple looks and feels their best, ultimately contributing to why clients choose my services. It is essential to emphasize that my business name has never undergone any changes. My commitment to transparency includes sharing authentic client experiences, even when faced with challenges. Claims of clients "never receiving their photos" remain perplexing, as all photos have been delivered and accounted for and I delivered over ****** images in 2023.My passion for my work and my clients remains unwavering. Beyond being a service provider, I view myself as a fellow human being whose feelings hold significance. While acknowledging that comments have been made, stretching truths or presenting inaccuracies, I extend my sincere wishes for your future endeavors. I hope that your new photographer receives abundant patience and gratitude during this busy season.Thank you again for allowing me to be a part of the meaningful moments in your life.

I unfortunately had a poor experience with Gabbi Poirier Photography just like the other 2 Complaints filed here on BBB. I had engagement photos done in July 2023, and Gabbis contract listed a 2-week turnaround time. A couple days after the deadline and not receiving my photos or any communication, I reached out via email to ask when we could expect to receive the photos. I didnt hear back and followed up 5 times via email and 3 times via text over the subsequent 4 weeks after the deadline and got 0 responses. Only after I threatened to get a lawyer involved did she respond to me and still did not apologize for missing her deadline by 4 weeks. During that time, I was so concerned that I was being ghosted or even scammed(??) that I reached out to others who had tagged her in their photos on social media. Six (6) other brides who had worked with her shared eerily similar experiences to mine, with delayed photos, no communication, etc. After catching wind of my reaching out (because I couldnt get a response from her), Gabbi CANCELLED US as wedding clients and then tried to have us sign an NDA (AKA no negative reviews) in order to receive our wedding deposit back, even though she was the one cancelling on us. I got a lawyer involved, got our rightful refund of our deposit, and am sharing my experience to ensure future potential clients are aware of this because I wish I knew when I was booking. It was odd to me that there are no positive reviews of client experiences and I think I now understand why.
