Gave a run around on how to dispute a charge for our bank account that we did not make.Business response
01/23/2024
We reached out to our customer on January 23. Her issue was with the chargeback center that handles our disputes. She felt they were rude in addressing her issue. The particular transaction that she was disputing was in memo-post (or presentment) and had not hard-posted to the account yet. Banks generally cannot dispute or return a charge in memo post, and it is not uncommon for such transaction to never actually post. Our customer was told by the dispute center to wait until the transaction actually posted to the account to file the dispute. In this particular case, the company who charged her account resolved the issue, and the transaction never did post to her account. Our customer stated that her issue has been resolved, and customer service was reminded to be considerate in explaining bank policies to our customers.
