I made a cabin reservation for 12.23.21/12.24.21. Due to an unforeseeable family emergency I had to cancel my reservation in advance. I requested a refund and was told it would be refunded only if the cabin was able to book again. This is just very upsetting as I had enjoyed a previous stay with the company and wanted to return. I wrote positive remarks in a review publicly for the business. I really needed the amount back as I didn't receive services and was really concerned as to why they held my money. I made attempts to contact the business. I was told they would follow-up. I am seeking resolution in the form of my refund.Business response

We are sorry you couldn't stay with us again. Unfortunately its in our policy that we cannot refund unless the reservation rebooks within a set time frame. The reason for the reservation is to make that cabin unavailable to other potential guests looking to reserve it for themselves. If a reservation is canceled too close to the date they are expected to stay there might not be adequate time to find a new guest. The information on our policy is sent to every guest via email when they book. Unfortunately we are a small business and cannot absorb these costs.
We are sorry for the misunderstanding we know times are tough. If you are interested we would be willing to offer a deep discount of a future weekday stay and a free bottle of wine. Please reach out and we will set something up.
