On September 20, my son and I were traveling to **** and needed a place to stay for the night. I booked the Quality inn in *********** **** through hotels.com. Upon arrival there was no one at the desk after about five minutes, a gentleman came out of a room in jeans and a T-shirt with no name tag , very unprofessional and checked me in giving me room 223. We had to pull around to the back of the building to find a parking spot and when we pull back there, there were people hanging around their vehicle smoking and there was a car that had no doors on the car just gave a very scary vibe. When we opened the door to go up to the second floor, the hall reeked of smoke when we got inside the room the first thing I noticed was the door lock was broken and I went over to turn the air down because it was hot in the room , and there were bugs everywhere which I have pictures of the bedding was dirty and my son and I was very uncomfortable. I immediately went back downstairs to let the attendant know that we would not be staying there and again, He was not at the front desk this time he was actually outside in the front of the hotel working on his vehicle I told him the situation and that I would like to have a refund and he told me that was not possible since I booked through an online site he tried to get me to a different room downstairs which the air conditioner did not work in he told me don’t bother turning it down anymore because it was not going to get that cool and as far as the bugs were concerned, that was the result of cropping that was in process and that every hotel in the area would have these bugs at this point I felt very uncomfortable and very unsafe I just wanted to get out of there I immediately messaged the online site, disputed and sent pictures. I have been dealing with this for three days and they tell me the hotel has to approve the refund which they have not done and even hung up on me when I called them. I have exhausted all other options.
