September 2022. Amount paid to date is $4100. The plumber was called out because of a water loss and he presented his original invoice and claimed it was approved by our adjuster. After completing the work he refused payment by a certified check and demanded cash or he threatened to put a lien on our property. We requested an itemized invoice as the plumber Josh Buthker claimed a condensate pump was going to be installed but was not, and so that we could maintain accurate records. The plumber submitted the same invoice but added an additional $800.00, with no changes except for the payment increase. A third hand written invoice was submitted with the additional increase of $500 where the plumber claimed to have worked 40 hours and on Labor Day. None of which is true and can be proven by our security camera’s feed. I spoke with our adjuster and he advised to pay the $500 and after letting the plumber know this he refused payment from a certified check and claimed an additional $800 was owed. The additional cost invoices submitted were after the work was completed and were never agreed upon. What the plumber is attempting to do is theft of services. Also I found out the licensing information the plumber showed is no longer valid.
