This complaint is in regards to the Woodspring Hotel located at 380 W Lyndon B Johnson Fwy, Irving, TX 75039, which I understand is managed by J&P Asset Management. Choice Hotels International case #******** On 10/7, I established a verbal contract with a front desk employee Ahmet. I paid with cash and was told I did not need to pay anymore until 10/15. I asked to speak with the manager (GM) to confirm this, and was told that I cannot possibly speak with any manager and that the GM was on a leave of absence. On 10/9, the GM returned from her leave of absence and informed me that the contract I had established and paid for with Ahmet "never existed." She demanded that I immediately stop my work, come to the front desk, and pay additional charges including various "late fees" that did not exist under the contract I agreed to. I paid all that was demanded of me at that time - $214.38. Throughout all my interactions with the GM she was incredibly rude, always threatening to kick me out or call the police despite the fact I was calm, collected, and cooperative every step of the way, paying whatever was asked (however unreasonable and unprofessional the demand). I asked to speak with the GM's boss about this, and was told his name is "Isaiah." All I can say about Isaiah is that he is impossible to contact. It was much easier to get in touch with a Sr VP at Choice Hotels International than Isaiah. The GM promised me that she would have Isaiah reach out to me. This never happened. The phone number for J&P Asset Management listed on their website goes directly to a recording saying "voicemail not set up yet." As a result of the GM unilaterally changing the contract I have suffered various damages. I will seek legal remedy for these damages if I must, but I would prefer not to go that route; I hope we can work together to resolve this issue amicably.
