      Was referred by another opthakomologist for double vision surgery. Set up account, paid for surgery, set up appointment dates. Everything was OK until post op appointment. I discussed with doctor my concerns over fasting and times, because I have gi issues and had throat surgery last December 2023. Kinda left with a feeling like I was asking the biggest favor in the world, but was hopeful for compassion. Then two afterwards, I received the call from the anthesisologist for my appointment time. She didn't have an ounce of compassion and got me upset to the point of using some hard language. She then discussed with doctor my case. He called me, pretty upset, but so was I. He gave me another surgery date and time at the end of the week. On Monday, I received another call from the doctor telling me the anthesiologist didn't want to basically service me. I ended up refusing his offer of finding me another doctor, not at the cleveland eye clinic either. This convo ended with me using hard language again. So, my money is tied up with the cleveland eye clinic, still have double vision, and haven't been able to drive since August so I can navigate my own life. All in all I wanted my time, my driver's time and am without safe vision. I have a new appointment, which I scheduled the day after the doctor's call. My new appointment is April, 2024. All because of the ckeveland eye clinics lack of concern and they never reached out to my gi doctor for his opinion. In my humble honest opinion, the operation of this clinic is horrible. It lacks compassion and concern over a patients other medical conditions.

      I received an email this morning to pay a bill. No problem, I pay all of my bills electronically. When I clicked on the link to pay the bill, I got a screen that asked for a patient ID. I never received a bill from Cleveland Eye Clinic, so I did not have a patient ID. I then clicked the I do not have the information above link and got another link asking for the patient ID. I then figured, lets just register for an account like the email sent to me states and I can see my last balance. I registered for an account and there is absolutely nothing on InstaMed that indicates that I even have a balance. There were no statements. The only thing that I could do was add a credit card and pay whatever amount I wanted to. I was not able to see a statement or balance like the email states so I am not comfortable giving out my credit card number to a site that does not even indicate that I have a balance. I then called Cleveland Eye Clinic and they gave me my patient number, but when I put it in InstaMed, their system still did not show that I had a balance. I tried calling InstaMed twice and the system just hangs up on you after a while with a final message to email them, they are too busy. InstaMed is non functional and Cleveland Eye Clinic is a facility that I will never use again due to lack of communication and poor billing practices. I am still waiting to hear from Megan, a supposed supervisor in administration.

      I purchased glasses and had a problem with them from day one. They were not adjustable after I was told that they were. I drove back-and-forth dozens of times an hour each way. To no avail. The glasses were never fixed. I had a one-year warranty that was never honored. when trying to reach out to a supervisor, I was told they “couldn’t help me”. I tried for months to reach someone leaving message after message. So basically I ended up paying an additional $400 on top of the $500 my insurance paid. For glasses, that were never even worn for a full day. They NEVER tried to honor the warranty.

I have been told that the manager of optical department has been in touch with you and has resolved this problem to your satisfaction.       I see Dr. Thomas C****** at the Brecksville location. He is a great eye doctor that listens to my questions and concerns along with performing all the up-to-date exams/tests. Both of my cataract surgeries were done at the Brecksville location also. The education provided through the Eye Clinic for both exams & surgery is a wonderful option to provide patients with so the right choice is made. All the staff for exams and at the surgery center are wonderful to deal with. The best place for eye care!!!
