I went in to get a wheel alignment and an oil change on my 2010 Lincoln MKT. I had no other issues with the vehicle before I went there. Later on that same day the rubber guard under my car was swinging side to side under my car and obstructing the tires from rolling. I also got stuck in a business driveway. I had to get the car shop down the street from my home to remove the guard completely, after I called Safeway Tire to get assistance which I got an offer to put the guard back on if I would bring the car back down there. I was literally stuck on the curb. The car had to be jacked up to get it off the curb so I couldn’t bring the car back. I had to end up paying $55.57 to have the guard removed completely. I also noticed that the lugs on my tires weren’t tightened properly so much so that I could unscrew them with my hand after they did the inspection to have the alignment done. When I took the receipt and paperwork down to them to get a refund of what was done, I was told that I’m not getting anything. I also told them that I’m contacting a lawyer for negligence because I had none of these issues before I went to Safeway Tire to get the work doneBusiness response

We are sorry Ms ******* had this issue, however if something was hanging from under her vehicle it would have been seen by the technician. It is very possible that it let loose after hitting a chuck hole or a bump in the road, ( her vehicle is a 2010 with 138,453 miles) We offered when she called to have her bring her vehicle back to inspect. She did not. As for any loose lug nuts on her vehicle, we do not remove or even touch the tires to perform a LOF or a front end inspection.
We are sorry she experienced this mishap but truly do not feel it was anything that was done while here.
If any other information is needed, please feel free to contact me.
Thank you

A few weeks ago I took my car into the dealership because my tire monitor indicated my tire was low. I was advised by the dealership my tire had a nail in it and it was located near the edge of the tire, but they would attempt to fix it. If unsuccessful I would need a new tire. On Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022 I awoke to a flat tire. The dealership was closed, so I called around to attempt to locate the tire. I contacted Safeway Tires @ 9:24am to determine if they stocked my tire, at which time I was told it was not in stock. At 9:26am literally 2 minutes later the guy from Safeway called me back to state they had the tire at the warehouse, but I would need to pay for it over the phone. I arrive there with my spouse, I proceed to the waiting area and my husband walks around the facility. My husband noticed the guy is actually repairing my tire, at which time he comes in and tell be the tire is being repaired. I am then called to the service desk at which time I am handed a $300 bill. I tell the guy I am not paying $300 for a repair he told both my husband and I he could not guarantee the repair. My husband told him we would pay him for the repair and a restock fee but we were not paying for a tire that was not needed. Had not my husband witness the repair job I would have paid $300 for a repair. He refused to credit my account and I am currently disputing the transaction. I did not sign the authorization, nor did I accept the tire. I will gladly pay for services rendered. A reputable business would have advised of the ability to repair the tire as did my dealership. I am requesting to be credited for the new tire and charged for the repair and restock fee only as I feel that is fair.Business response

Had a slight pull to the right. Took my vehicle in for a front end alignment. Was told other parts need to be replaced before an alignment can be done. Makes perfect sense, got my parts ordered and got service paid for. Took only about a week to get my parts. Took my vehicle in on June 29th around closing time, Picked Vehicle up 06/30/2022. I did witness the vehicle on the alignment machine. So far all is well. Was told when I was given my keys that the "Steering is a little funny due to the new parts" and that I had to "break them in" before the alignment can be completed. Was told to comeback after a week or so. I called back on 07/09/2022 to ask when I can bring the vehicle back in. Was first told they do not do that, once i get my car they are done. Opposite of what I was told before. I simply followed their instructions. Eventually told to call back early in the next week. Called again on 07/12/2022 and was then told I would receive a call back the next day. The gentleman who called me the next day and refused to schedule a time for me to receive the alignment. I explained that my car is frightening to drive the alignment is in much worse shape then when I initially brought it in. I am being told that I have to leave my car there for a day because an alignment takes time. The man felt the need to become disrespectful and yell at me over the phone about how I need to just drop if off one day and "they will get to it". This business has already taken payment. My vehicle has gone from slightly pulling to one side to being nearly undriveable (shaking over 40mph, pulling heavily into other lanes on its own) and I fear operating my vehicle. This was an $1,809 repair bill. I do understand it is a "First come, First serve" however I have already paid in full and this work was supposed to have already been done. This is a service that was not only paid for over 2 weeks ago but only takes 45-90 minutes. This is very unacceptable.Business response

Re Mr *******
Originally before we did the work on his vehicle it was most definitely frightening to drive! We are not sure why he is frightened to drive with the alignment not to his satisfaction. However he was told both times he called to bring his vehicle back. We can not determine any issues without the vehicle being here. As for being talked to disrespectfully and yelled at are untrue. Our Manager may have a strong voice but he is not disrespectful. There is no reason to be!
So to resolve this issue we truly need the vehicle here. As we have been in business for many years and pride ourselves in repeat business. But without seeing his vehicle there is no way to handle his issues. We are a busy shop and have customers waiting most of the time, therefore we will do our best to look at his vehicle in a timely manner. However he has to understand that this type of work takes time. This is why he was told to drop off his vehicle. We are not sure where Mr ****** is coming up with a time frame of 45-90 minutes. We will need to inspect it to determine why he is saying that he can only go 40mph while driving. He is most welcome to drop his vehicle off anytime.
Thank you

On June 29,2021 I went in to Safeway Tire to purchase a set of gold rims for my car. The purchase price was $4320.00 I agreed and they required a down payment of $2500.00. With that they said the wait time for these rims would be 4 months. On November 4,2021 I arrived at Safeway Tire to inquire about the status of the rims. I was told that had not arrived and it would be another 4 weeks til they arrive. At that point I decided I wanted new tires as well. The price of the tires is $2052.00 which I paid for in full. The wait time for the tires would be 4 weeks as well, so should be there same time as rims. I was there at the store in February, they said still waiting. I was there in March, was told they're at the gold plater's because the manufacturer no longer does it. I was there again April 20, 2022, the salesman says we can just give you your money back. I told him I'd really like to have the wheels. So the salesman made a phone call, and then assured me they'd be at the store in 3 to 4 weeks. On May 18,2022 I arrived at the store to inquire about the status and they were not there. Store agreed to refund my monies. I have 2 refund receipts, one for $2500.00 and another for $2052.00. I was told it would take 5 to 7 days to get my refund. Today is June 3,2022 I have yet to receive my refund. On top of that the store personnel will not return my phone calls. Situation is unacceptable to me.Business response

Although Safeway Tire has agreed to refund my money no later than 6/10/22. At this point they have not. Which if not refunded by today is unacceptable to me, and goes along with the rest of the poor business practices I have experienced.
