We had critter control come to our home as we had something in our attic. They gave us a contract to sign that if it was raccoons, it would cost $99 if it was squirrels it would cost $59. They came out for three weeks, eight of those times their traps did not work. We had to get cameras to show them that the critters were going into their traps, eating all the food and coming out. On one of the occasions, one of the techs, Travis, came to her house went in the backyard where no traps were and started to get in his vehicle and leave. My husband went out and ask him if he was going to exchange the traps. Today, I just received notification that I was charged $200 for two opossums. Never, was it discussed what other critters would cost if they told us, it was raccoons or squirrels , needless to say, after numerous notes, we had to leave and buying a camera and being charged 200 more dollars for something that was never discussed. I find this out right egregious. This company scams people and doesn't do a good job. We tried to contact them to them pretty much flat out telling us they didn't state how much other animals would cost but . . . This company has terrible service and does a very inadequate job.Business response

***** called in for service on 4.5.23, and job was scheduled for 4.6.23. It was explained to us what he thought to be squirrels in the attic and soffit area and was given the quote for squirrels and raccoon removal. He was not able to meet onsite, and a service agreement was emailed to him to sign and return, as we cannot go out without his permission to be on his property without him being there and set traps. Therefore, there was no attic inspection to be performed, and could only do the outside inspection. The inspection revealed a large entry point at Soffit of front door by down spout, and in the back of the home at the downspout as well. We did set large and small traps that day. We check traps daily Monday-Friday and on Friday, they are wired open for the weekend, allowing critters to go in and out freely. During our trapping process, ***** left us multiple notes for the technician, and said it was an opossum that was entering into the attic. He did know that it was an opossum entering, and that during the call for service was quoted, that we do charge for each animal removed. Opossums in attics, is very uncommon so that is why they were not quoted for opossums during the call to schedule. Our technician ******* went out once to check the traps on 4.18.23, who was not familiar with this property and *****, made him change the traps. We had already removed 1 animal (opossum) a few days prior with the same trap. In order for our traps to capture an animal, the animal has to go in the trap far enough for the trap to trigger. The technician did bait farther into the trap, making the animal have to go deeper into the trap to get caught. The very next day 4.20.23 another animal (raccoon) and then on 4.21.23 an opossum was caught. After the last animal was caught, we continued to monitor until there was no activity. The traps were removed on 4.28.23, and a quote for sealing the entry points was given. ****, *****'s wife did call when she received a copy of the invoice and we tried to explain everything to her. During this whole process, we had all communication with *****, until **** called about the invoice.Customer response

the facts are incorrect - 1 the raccoon was caught first. Second, we are not disputing an opossum was caught we are disputing the $99 fee as our contract said $59 squirrel and $99 raccoon. We should have been advised of the charge for an opossum before them haphazardly charging us. Very unethical and bad business practice. When Incalled I was informed that is on their master list in their office. As I stated to them, we never received a master list. So again, extremely unethical that you can make up a charge without informing customers.

We were contracted by Mr. ******** to remove animals getting inside their attic. During the initial inspection we were not able to meet anyone onsite, and a service agreement was sent to allow us on the property. Communication was made daily through notes and meeting onsite with Mr. ********. Mr. ******** knew we removed 2 opossums from the property. By 5pm tonight, the 2 opossums will be refunded to the credit card. The refund can take 3-5 business days to be received. Thank you and have a great day.Customer response
