On Saturday 7/20/24, I called to get a ***** interior car detailing. In 7/21/24 I noticed the car was still damp, then on 7/22/24 Monday my car had a horrible smell of mildew. My car is now with the dealership to have it re-cleaned to get the smell out. I have tried calling and got no answer, I emailed and got no respond, I texted and got no response.

Car detail scheduled: April 14, 2024, non-refundable deposit paid ($68.25) Car detail service: April 16, 2024 Expected amount to be paid: 263.25 + tax(7.5%) (total approx ~ $282.99) - Ordered Elite Interior Packaged advertised at $195 - Deposit $68.25 Upon arrival, employee said I’d be charged for “pet hair conditions” (fee of $100) Now expected to pay at billing: 226.75 + tax - minus deposit - $195 service fee - $100 pet fee New expected total to pay at billing: 243.75 226.75 + tax: 17.00 (226.75*7.5%) When it was time to bill got a separate charge for $366.16 Total actually charged: 434.41 (includes deposit at booking, service + tax) 434.41(actual billed) - 243.75(expected including pet hair condition) = 190.66 I want my money back. Called owner to ask for a refund, only said to refund me $20+free car wash. My issues and complaints: •called for itemized receipt of service to verify costs, they never sent one. None of the math is adding up •my deposit never went towards the cost of the service. I want my money back for that. •showed up an hour late to appointment •didn’t complete the full service •based on website description, I assumed all parts of interior would be covered. When I called, the owner said some parts are an add-on, but when I looked back on the site to check for specific add-ons, it was no where to be found. False marketing. •charged for pet hair fee of $100, and pet hair wasn’t completely taken out.

      Business response

This customer scheduled an elite interior detail with pet hair removal. Customer was informed before technician proceeded with service that our prices do vary based on size and conditions of the vehicle. Technician proceeded with his inspection, gave the customer final pricing before servicing the vehicle. We do not proceed with service unless customer agrees to terms and pricing after inspection was done. Our technician went over final pricing with the customer.  She then approved for technician to proceed with detail service. After service was completed customer then came out to inspect Detail Which she did approve and then proceeded with processing payment

I am rejecting this response because: I am still not understanding how am I being charged and want an itemized receipt to support the charge. Per my understanding, I thought I was being charged the Elite Interior Service Package which was $190 and pet hair conditions at $100. Together $290, so plus tax it should be about $300. When speaking about the total price, $300 total makes sense. However upon paying, and under the basic understanding that a deposit goes towards your total cost of the service, I was under the impression that the deposit would be taken out of that $300. Therefore I'd be left to pay about $225 upon completion of the service. If I would have known that this was not the case or if that were communicated that the deposit was not going toward the cost of the service, the transaction would not have taken place.

      Regards,

I scheduled an appoint to have my car washed and detailed by D4 Mobile. I was required to make a deposit for the service that was to be applied to the cost of the service. On 14 Jun '23, D4 Mobile arrived at my house to perform an "Elite Interior and Exterior Detailing Package" ($235) on my 2018 Toyotal Highlander. The representative looked my car over and added $300 worth of extras to the original quote. I was aware of, and was prepared to pay the extra $85 due to third row seating on my car. However, the representative added $45 for a trunk - the car is an SUV with a third row, covered in the $85. $100 for pet hairs - i have pictures of the area that had some pet hair and there may have been 50 hairs total. The final fee was an extra $70 for car condition. I asked about what this meant and got an ambiguos answer. I declined the service and called and talked to the owner about a refund. He refused.
