      I had my truck ************************************************************* engine possibly lifters or timing chain on April 9 2024 mechanic promise it would be fixed by month. I used *********************************** which paid him $2300 for veterans vehicle repair. The truck stayed with shop **** until august 25th until he said he thinks I should come and pick it up to see if it runs on test drive. I reluctantly took it back on advise of veterans service to take it to another shop because of his behavior of noncompliance. I have the truck broke and worst condition than before.

      This customer was referred to by another mechanic after the other mechanic could not fix his vehicle. We installed a new timing chain and gear set on the left side and then replaced all the lifters in a separate repair order. We believe that there's more damage in the engine, then could be fixed With just the one side timing being replaced. We recommended that the engine come out and be completely re-timed.
      This is where we are now, awaiting the vehicle to be brought back to the shop.

      I am rejecting this response because: 
      I think Jack is nice guy personally but I been waiting for 6 months and I'm loosing income not being able to work I will accept him working on my Ford explorer if he really wants to bring this solution and didn't want to file this complaint to ruin Jmac reputation but I'm loosing money and he's been paid $2300 through veterans services because I'm disabled.

      I will bring Mr. Camron’s ‘s vehicle in Monday October 21 to remove his engine entirely to find the rest of the issues.  Mr. Camron being disabled with little money, I tried to give him an economical repair. It’s obvious to me now that his engine needed a much deeper repair than just the components I put on. I did the work. I was paid for 100% correctly. I shouldn’t have to work for free, but I will to make this customer happy.

      On May 10th 2021 I brought my 2004 Ford explorer in to **** for a replacement of an engine. After 6 months and many calls he stated that the engine he was suppose to buy wasn't up to his standards... And changed it to him doing rebuilding the existing engine and putting a new crank shaft in the engine. He did send me pictures of a box stating that was the crank shaft but I didn't see what was in the box on Jan the 26th. This was after 8 months of calling and needing my car. Mind you I paid for all of this upfront him stating it would be done in 30 day s. After almost a year now I don't have my car and still and am out 2525.00. I want my car fixed or the money back so I can get it fixed. Everytime I leave a msg no return phone call.

      Good afternoon. My apologies for the late response. We have been unusually busy lately and staffing issues because of Covid-19 has made resolving some of the bigger jobs. Mr ****** Ford Explorer has been one of those jobs. Between part acquisition staffing issues has delayed the completion of Mr ****** job. We were told when the vehicle was dropped off to take our time but we had no idea that time would be an issue. Resolving this issue is fairly easy now that we have all of the parts to finish the engine rebuild and overhaul. We should have his engine built by the end of this week and be installed and ready for mr ***** to pick up by Friday May 27 2022

      Ok I accept ****'s promise to have my Ford complete by my next Friday May 27th 2022, I've been paying for licensing, plates and insurance on my vehicle for as long as he's had it, we've been without a car for 11months, and that's totally unacceptable!!so if I don't have my truck by his afore said promised date, I have no other recourse but legal action and I'm not kidding!!

      I've been trying to respond to the complaint against me a few days now but every message I read does not allow me to respond. This is for Mr *****. We had parts issues and delays out of my control. We should have his vehicle finished next week. Mr ***** has a balance at our shop as well that he must satisfy before picking his vehicle up. -****

      To the BBB:
      We've been more than amicable with **** *******, he's had our vehicle for
      more than 14 months, told my husband countless lies and excuses why he
      couldn't or didn't fix our truck... We've endured many many hardships,
      having to take COTA buses when we needed to get around, we've not been able
      to leave out of Columbus unless we rented a car, we've been paying auto
      insurance on the said vehicle since he's had our truck, along with paying
      for tags to keep the truck legal... Initially **** ******* had an agreement
      with my husband to get a used engine and properly install it, **** called
      my husband months later saying the engine he "bought" didn't meet with his
      "standards" and that he would attain the necessary parts to rebuild the
      existing engine in the truck, we paid **** ******* $2,525.00 CASH and had a
      balance of $306.98 to be paid to him once our truck was finished. In the
      interim, **** called my husband in January of 2022 this year and told my
      husband he waved the balanced we owed him simply bc he's had our truck for
      so long, but we've done nothing wrong to ****, we've had the money for the
      balanced owed many many times over. If anyone who has been wronged, it's us
      The ******!
      That guy can't be talking about us having to pay some ridiculous "added
      fees" or some "storage charge" bc he's held our truck over 14 months and
      has not held up his end of the business transaction... My husband has known
      **** for over 10 years and he's never lied or been dishonest to my husband
      and my husband can't understand why **** is doing it now! We either want
      our vehicle fixed and running well or our unfixed truck back and ALL our
      money back ALL of it!
      The only thing we can think of is **** ******* is having financial problems
      and used our $2,525.00 for some other reason, bc he certainly hasn't
      satisfied our agreement

      be fixed. And text from 9/2021 stating the truck will be fixed.
