On April 13,2022 we dropped off our tax documents to Trimmer Financial in their after hours drop box. I was told when I called inquiring about their services that this was all I needed to do for them to complete them and they would contact us when they were completed. I called their office on April 18, 2022 to verify receipt of our documents as we had heard nothing from them. I spoke with a woman at their office who reported they filed an extension for us, though they should be wrapping up with our taxes within a week and then they would contact us. We have heard nothing from their office. I have called multiple times leaving multiple voicemail messages with no return calls. My husband has also tried to contact via email with no response from them. It is now June 20, 2022, two months after my phone conversation with one of their representatives. This is unacceptable. To blatantly ignore our calls and e-mails and continue to refuse to provide us with answers. We want answers, we want our taxes completed and submitted and we want our documents back. We have not paid them anything at this time as we were never told what the cost would be. We are very frustrated with no responses from them at all.Business response

Dear ****,
Your information has been processed and we are missing all dates of births and both of your driver's license information (number, issue date and expiration date) Original documents did not include your e-mail address or phone number so that caused your return to be put on a shelf waiting contact. I see your email from May, but it was in a file as if it was responded to which I don't show any record of that being done. I apologize for that. You owe the Federal $1246. You receive a refund of $184 from Ohio (bank account needed if you want direct deposit). Finally, you owe City of Columbus $273. Once we receive the dates of births and driver's license info, we can print out your return. I have issued some credits on your account due to our delaying the return. Your final bill from us is $70.00. I am out of the office on Tuesday and Thursday most of the day to work at a client's office, but someone is looking at emails and voicemails throughout the day. It will take less than 30 minutes to finalize your return once information is received.

Customer has been sent requests for signature to allow us to e-file the tax return. The customer has been e-mailed the payment voucher for the IRS, the Columbus City tax return to be mailed in with payment and the completed copy of their tax return. I spoke with Luis this morning and informed him this would be done. We agreed that their documents would be returned to them by mail with a completed paper copy of the tax return. This completes everything that needed to be done regarding their tax return. All fees have been waived due to our miscommunication.
