Per attachment 1 on 03/08/2023 we got estimates from N-Hance Columbus to redo some of our floors, the cabinets, countertops, and backsplash of our kitchen. Attachment 2 shows our email dialogue between 05/25/2023 and 07/06/2023 between us an Nhance. Issues first started to arise early on. Attachment 2 on 05/25/2023 pages 20 and 21 ****** from Nhance started telling us about additional charges needed to have temporary counters and sinks. My wife explained on attachment 2 page 15 on 05/25/2023 that we talked with Nhance several times about needing temporary sink/countertop and an additional charge was never mentioned. We noted additional charges in the past were communicated directly. On Attachment 2 page 13 06/06/2023 after not hearing a response on this matter we contacted Nhance and expressed our disappointment on not having a temporary sink or the option to obtain one. We also noted the cabinet in picture #16 was wrong. Other cabinet next to the fridge was wrong as well. On Attachment 2 Page 7-12 ****** responded on 06/07/2023 why the job was done so poorly. She does disclose a $75 upcharge that we agreed to with Matt. On attachment 2 Page 7 We respond with a list of items incomplete/unsatisfactory. Please see Picture #6 for faucet handle. Picture #19 for missing handle. Pictures #11 and 12 for missing shoe molding under the door. Picture #8, 9 and 10 show incomplete baseboard trim. Wall damage shown in Picture #8, 13, 17, 18, 23, 26 and 27. Attachment 2 Page 6 and 7 on 06/30/2023 show that after a phone call was made between ***** and myself we agreed to part ways. The rest of Attachment 2 is us trying to pay our bill and an unprofessional email from *****. Attachment 3 Work order 8869 and invoice 8869 for floors. Attachment 4 Atypical billing pattern observed. Work order 8924 changes to invoice 9150. Attachment 5 Threat of Lien on 07/05/2023 completely unprompted. Website says they are BBB Accredited but that is inaccurate. Counters not complete.

Please read the attachments I have included above.  ******* Jester is our customer on this project.  On June 30th someone that lives in her home by the name of ******* ****** called the owner of our company and threatened physical violence. He screamed many expletives and then hung up the phone.   Once ******* found out about this conversation she decided that Nhance should not come back into her home due to any potential risk to our employees.  The correspondence above includes her statement and request for final invoice on work completed to date.  The last note includes the follow up with the final invoice that was modified removing anything that was not complete.

This ******* ****** appears to be a very unstable person.  We still may have to file a police report and restraining order as he continues to harass  our company and personnel.  He went so far as to put a negative review on the Angi Leads website when we didn't even contract this job using that service.

      Regards,

[If you do not say why you are rejecting the company's response, BBB must close your complaint.]

      Complaint: 20304499

I am rejecting this response because: It is untrue. There is no proof. This buisness is not showing good faith practices. I could get into a he-said he-said argument all day about how the owner ***** threatened to "show me who he was". There's simply no need for it. His emails show his unprofessionalism. We agreed to mutually part ways. Why was I forced to pay full price for services not entirely rendered? Please see photos and explanations. Further I talked with the outside 3rd party who installed the counters. They informed me my counters were known to be cut incorrectly and they had notified nhance about the issues. Nhance not only did not notify me, I found out after I paid them in full which is misleading and untransparent. I was put under duress to pay in full for a project because of an unprofessional, non-good faith buisness. This buisness didn't address many of the issues I plainly stated in my original response. They have falsely advertised as a BBB accredited company and are again threatening instead of trying to resolve issues. Please stay professional in your responses and stick to facts. Feel free to call the police, your threat doesn't have legal grounds to stand on.

      Regards,

      ******* ******

      Hi *********,

      Thabk you for reaching out.

The counter tops were not done correctly when I was forced to pay and the work was maybe 90% of the way done besides that. I think it's reasonable to ask for 50% off of the counter tops and I had to pay roughly $1,000 cash to finish work not completed outlined in pictures. This equates to roughly $3500. I'd gladly accept anything reasonable. It took us a month longer than expected and the counter tops are not to our specifications. We now have a counter top consisting of 2 piece joined together which we expressly did not want.

      Thank you,

      ****

      *********,
It's obvious we are not dealing with a stable individual and I have no desire to work with him.

      Regarding his request, it's ridiculous.

First of all, this is the first time he has brought up his countertops.  Countertops are installed with seams.  This is part of the process and when the professional template was done in their home they knew this. This was done weeks before the countertops were installed.   Why is he asking for a 50% rebate on what he contracted? It's because he is trying to get something for nothing.

Second, the $1,000 cash that he paid to finish his job is for the backsplash which we removed ($1,525) from his final invoice to cover.

He is a bully and is trying to get something for nothing.  The courts will be able to figure him out in about 1 minute.

      Regards,

I did hire this company to remodel our kitchen including cabinet door replacement, refinish and re modifications. Start getting issues almost from the beginning. They attempted to fix some of the issues even did replace some of the cabinet doors but still getting issues. My issues are, not enough paint applied on the cabinets, door issues, bad in details. I sent them email but nobody contacted me back. I would like them to fix the issues or pay someone else to do it. I want quality work for the money we paid.

This client made cabinet door selections that include an applied moulding and was advised several times while making the decision that we do not recommend applied mouldings and gaps can appear between the main door frame and the moulding due to humidity level changes in the home that are natural with the change of seasons.  The cabinets were finished in a light color that amplifies gaps which appear dark, especially on the color of white that this customer chose which is Ultra Pure White.

In addition, this client chose to have us construct doors that are very tall without the recommended framing and has been informed that these doors will be unstable and carry no warranty.  Nonetheless, after installation and being in the home for a period of time, the oversized doors did warp and were replaced, free of charge.  Incidentally, the warpage of these doors was very minor and is within normal tolerances. So, despite the fact that we did not have to replace them since these particular doors are not under warranty due to size and, even if they were under warranty, the reported warpage of the doors was within the acceptable range (=/- 1/16"), the doors were replaced.

In addition, there were at least 16 other doors that were replaced due to customer dissatisfaction pertaining to the applied moulding which he was advised not to select if he was going to be intolerant of natural wood movement causing tiny gaps between door frame and moulding.  These doors were replaced at no additional charge despite the fact that they were not defective.

In addition, these cabinet and cabinet doors have been refinished, some up to 3 times due to the client's continued complaints. The extra finish that has now been applied actually builds up and causes more acute issues with the material's natural expansion and contraction (wood is natural material).

In addition, this client's selection of door handles was very unusual and caused us to have to spend 4x the time to install them and now they are unhappy with the handles that they independently selected and purchased with no involvement from us and asked us to install, at no charge, despite our recommending against it.

Finally, this client still owes us over $2,102.83 which he has refused to pay since 11/2020.
