I contracted a concrete driveway job from Maxxima Concrete. They began the work on Tuesday, July 23rd (excavation and forming) and then poured and finished the driveway on Wednesday, July 24th. I had health with an *********************, their representative during the whole process. I noticed on the 23rd, that they formed an me of the 4 corners incorrectly, the were using 2x4s to form the contractual 4 concrete slab which was impossible as a 2x4 is only 3.5s tall and they had gravel up over the bottom of the boards. And they also were cutting out a bad cracked olio piece of the driveway apron and cut the angles incorrectly and missed part of the broken apron leaving still cracked concrete after the pour. I communicated all these issues and was told they would be remedied by the pouring crew the next day. They arrived and just removed gravel instead of raising the forms, leaving a substandard substrate under the pour, recut the apron but still left a cracked up piece in place, and did not do anything with the incorrectly formed corner. They offered to cut a corner and did the already curing driveway, which would make it look worse in my opinion, they said they should have never agreed to fix the cracked apron, and should have just repaired the whole apron, but I am stuck with it. They offered me a refund of $200. At this point, I disagreed with that amount and then the person I was dealing with, *********************, was no longer available and no one I could speak with spoke fluent English and had to use ****** translator. They told me the profit on the job was $900, and I would like for them to donate that $900 profit to a charity with proof provided and I will let it go because I dont believe they should profit from a job so poorly run and executed. I got a driveway, but I dont think they deserve to profit on such a poor job and for not completing the job as agreed upon. The also some how ran up a $320 water bill for us in August when it normal is $80. No proof.

Also, forgot to include that I believe I am in a protected class as I am currently disabled. That was something that was requested information from the attorney general. I have a total disability through social security due to the fact that I have a terminal cancer diagnosis with no known cure. Not sure if that matters in a BBB compliant, but wanted to include that information as well. Thank you for the help.

      Sincerely,

I am sending you this emawil as a  follow up to the email which I sent you on January 29,2022 in which Alessandro ** ** ******** of Maxxima Concrete  texted  me that he wanted to meet with me to “solve the problem.”  I responded  that the solution to the problem was for him to refund the $2850 which I paid him as half payment for work which he never started.  His response was “…We can do that.  I’m sorry.”  I have not had any contact with him since.  Iam still waiting for my refund.

Do you have any suggestions as to what my next step might be?  Will you be contacting Maxxima Concrete again? Thanks for your help.
