On September 18, two girls from THE SKE GROUP came to my house, telling me that they would do a small demonstration of a ***** vacuum cleaner, THEY WERE MORE THAN 3 hours at home, I arrived late for work and I felt forced and pressured to buy it, they were not going to leave without me buying them the vacuum cleaner, I agreed to do it, when I tried to cancel within 3 days of the contract I could never communicate with them again, they did not answer the phone, I tried to go to their location, there is there no one there? They don't answer my call, the financing company told me they couldn't do anything, I'm reading the reviews and I think this doesn't just happen to me, it happens to many people, are you supporting a company that is a scam? The bill is 1900 dollars, I'm desperate, I don't know what to do, please help me solve this problem, THE SKE GROUP DOESN'T CALL ME, IT DOESN'T CONTACT ME, I think I'll contact everyone involved to take legal action against these scammers

Two salesmen showed up at my door at 8pm Thursday August 1st, 2024. They didn’t even tell me what they were selling exactly, just that they needed to do one last demonstration before they could go home for the evening and, stupidly, I agreed to allowing them in my home to do so. The man stayed for over 2 hours and was dropped off by a van full of other salesmen who did not return to pick him up until 10:15pm. While we were waiting for him to leave, he of course softened me up enough to agree to buy a Kirby vacuum cleaner. Upon leaving my residence, they left me with the product and an electronic form of my contract. The salesmen did NOT advise me of my rights for cancellation, which were spelled out on a paper that they did not have me sign, but did leave with my Kirby instruction packet. Legally, the contract states I had 3 business days to cancel the transaction by either mailing a signed copy of the notice to the company or hand delivering it. However, I was left with no contact information whatsoever and two different address for the business, one of which says it is a **** *** **** ***** online. I have since found a phone number on your BBB website and have left them several voicemails over the last 4 days that have not been returned. I was unable to find business hours and they would not call me back to advise me of their hours, therefore I only had the option to mail in the notice. This is a Columbus based business doing door to door sales in Dayton, which is over an hour south and I wasn’t going to drive up there to give cancellation in the off chance they were closed or better, don’t even exist. I spent $36 to mail two trackable copies of the notice to both addresses I had for them. I still have yet to hear back. Their sales tactics or sketchy at best, and I never would have given consent for someone to enter my home had I known they would stay the entire evening. I want to return the vacuum and cancel my financing, as is my legal right per the contract.

On September 5 the SKE group LLC had salesman in my neighborhood demonstrating the Kirby vacuum. I told these guys very clearly I just moved 2 days prior because I was unable to work due to injury and couldn’t afford the vacuum. It didn’t seem like they were going to leave no matter what I said..they asked how much I could afford if I had a monthly payment and I said $75. The guy called his boss and told him, then came to me with an offer of trading in my vacuum which would save me around $600, my payments would be $91 a month no interest, plus my first payment wouldn’t be until November. When I filled out the financing form he put all my info in and had me call the company to agree on the financing. He told me to click a button to sign; without knowing he had already signed my name. So I clicked on button which signed the form without even having a chance to review the contract. He did not take any money off for my vacuum they took, he did not delay the payment to November, and there was over $800 in interest charges. I quickly cancelled before the 72 hours was up and the company said they’d pick up the next day, which they didn’t. Then I called numerous times and nobody would call me back for the pick up until **** (the salesman) finally text me and arranged the pick up. They took the Kirby back but did not return my money or my vacuum. At first **** said they’d be bringing me a check then when they showed up he said the money would go back on my card within 5-6 days. That was on 9/14/23 at 5:32pm when they walked out of my house with the Kirby. I have no gotten my money back or my vacuum returned.

I purchased a Kirby vacuum cleaner from SKE group LLC for $2369. I thought that I would be able to negotiate around my home with the sweeper but it’s very painful for my back. I would like to return it I had three days built into my contract. I cannot locate a physical person to cancel my contract with. I’ve left several messages with the company, asking them to make arrangements to meet me to return the equipment and to cancel the paperwork.

I purchased Kirby Vacuum (AVALIR2) from a wonderful salesman after an in-home demonstration on 5/31. After he left, I did NOT immediately start cleaning my house and I let a couple of days pass before I did. Upon trying to use the machine, I discovered that it was just too heavy and awkward for me to maneuver. I am a cancer survivor and I've had a stem cell transplant, so I am just not as strong as I used to be. I reached out to ******** Financial, the company that I financed the machine through and they told me that because I had waited more than three days to call them, that I could not cancel. I then called Kirby in Cleveland and spoke to a wonderful woman named ******. She gave me the contact information for the Kirby distributor (*** Group) that was responsible for my area. I called them and explained my situation and they pretty much said too bad, you have to take it up with the finance company. I called the finance company again, and they said too bad, you have to talk to the distributor. I understand that the cancellation period was 3 days, but I can't believe that such a reputable company would operate in this manner. I now have a huge machine that, due to my health, I cannot use because it is just too heavy. I traded in the two vacuums and a carpet shampooerthat I could use, so now I'm going to have to go buy another one so I can clean my home. I am beyond frustrated. I am asking that Kirby come pick up this machine and please cancel my contract. TIA, ***
