Early July of this year my 24 year old son decided he wanted to learn how to drive. He had put it off for years due to his OCD. So I called Rightway driving school. I was very up front with the representative ****** **** that I wanted the ******s to be close together since their would be no one to drive with him at home. I also said that I would buy extended ******s to teach him how to drive. At that point I was told that they have up to 6 month to schedule his ******s and they would do 1 a month. I once more told ****** that no one at home would be able to help my son learn to drive. She was very nice so I thank her for her time, and said that I would call a different driving company. ****** then responded with let me ask the instructor. A few days later she said that she would be able to schedule the driving classes close together, but they would not start until Sept 10th. I thanked her for that and took my son to their office on July 25th. My son signed the agreement and I paid $700.00 for 12 hours of driving ******s. At that meeting we received the date and times of those ******s. The ******s date were 9/10,9/12,9/13 for week one and 9/16,9/19,9/20 for week 2. During the ****** on 9/13 the instructor ***** ******* made a comment to my son that he did not like these ****** so close to gather. On 9/14 my son received an email stating that the week of 9/16 ******s were cancelled due to some state training. So I called that next week to see when they would reschedule and I was told that they were thinking about doing another training week. So I called the next week and was told by ****** **** that she had not been able to reschedule and that they have 6 months to do it. She also mentioned that the money paid was non refundable. I did not ask her about the money so I thought that was ******? I feel that they were dishonest to get my son signed up and I now have buyers remorse. I feel that it was a waste of time doing business with their company and trusting themBusiness response

Good afternoon: BBB;
In response to client complaint, ******* ********** and son; Right Way has completed three of Mr. ******** in car lessons (9/10/24 at 8:00AM completed,9/12/24 at 8:00AM completed, 9/13/24 at8:00AM completed) and had three more to complete. Yes, his last three were canceled due to changes happening at Right Way Driving school to better serve our clients and the public. Any and all cancellations are re-scheduled for a later date and time per our contract that Mr. ********** signed that he agreed to terms regarding the fact that Right Way Driving School has six months to complete in-car training (02/13/2025). Please find attached a copy of that contract.

I am rejecting this response because: I would never have used them if I was not told that they would space all the driving ******s close together. That is bait and switch!! Yes I know exactly what the contract said, butI was told, and given a schedule showing the ****** dates that were exactly as agreed prior to the contract signing. Also, the driving instructor on the last day of the first week told my son during the ****** that he
did not like that the ****** were close to each other. So they basically do what they want to do regardless of what they agree to do with the general public. Then they hide behind their contract. This is very unprofessional!!

Mr. ******* ********** has completed three of his in-car training sessions with Right Way Driving School, on 9/10/24, 9/12/24, and 9/13/24. He is not intitled to a full refund; to satisfy the customer we would be willing to do a pro-rated refund minus a processing fee.

My child has completed the driver instructor portion with Right Way. Her instructor was Great. The problem was when it came to pick up the paperwork we need once completing driver trainer to take the license test, the lady in the office decided to handle other business when she knew my daughter was on her way(evil ass) making my daughter miss her long awaited License exam appointment. Ohio is backed up for months and I feel Like this lady purposely did not have her paperwork available. Shame on You and God see your evil ways. Do not do business here cause they give the paperwork when its convenient for them.Business response

From: Right Way Driving School
This letter is in response to Ms. ***** ***’s complaint with Right Way Driving School and the handling of her daughter receiving her certificate of completion. Certificate of completion was entered into the DETS system on 06/12/2024, Ms. ***** was contacted via telephone on 06/12/2024 that the certificate was in our office and ready to be picked up.
I spoke to her daughter on 06/18/2024 and arranged for her to pick up the certificate at 12:30pm. At that time, she never stated that she had a scheduled road test while on the phone. If she had I could have advised her that the BMV has her certificate information in their system already.
I made a call to her daughter to advisor her that I had to step away from the office and what was her eta, because it was after her arranged pick up time. She did not answer her phone. I then contacted Ms. *** via phone as to her daughter’s eta time, because I had to step away from the office. She stated that her daughter had a 1PM scheduled road test. Her daughter returned my call after I had spoken to her mother and stated she was 3 minutes away.
I left the office at 12:45 and no one had arrived to pick up the certificate. I could not wait any longer. I later received another call from Ms. ***** daughter that she was at the office, and no one was answering the door. I informed her that I could no longer wait and had to leave, I should be back at the office within the next hour, and she would come back and pick up her certificate. Still, she did not mention a road test. At no point and time would she have been able to meet her scheduled BMV road test deadline, since she was attempting to pick up a certificate, she had not had her fifty-hour affidavit notarized and still travel to the BMV location that was at least 20 to thirty minutes away.
I apology that I had to do my job and couldn’t seat at the desk and wait for her.
