This place should be shut down to honest, they dont even feed those who are their for mental health or substance abuse in their PHP residents. People are getting injured, I got a concussion from a pole sticking out of the wall thats directly behind a couch, they refused to pay my medical bills for the concussion. Another gentleman inhaled black mold and ended up in the hospital and we had a resident OD. Not to mention we had several days in a row where no staff were present, all of this was reported and yet no changes not even moving the couch. I notified my insurance company groups were not being conducted, incident reports not being filed, the direct care staff are great but leadership should be embarrassed of themselves.Review from Joe S

This place was terrible. I was lied to about my detox treatment and really suffered for a while. The nurses and techs are rude and impatient with clients. My medication was lost three times, and I had to go without for days along with meds not being ordered when they got low so I would be without meds for days on several occasions. People in detox were forced to live with residential clients just to free room in detox to pack as many new people as possible. Vitals and meds took at least an hour to do each time since the nursing staff worked at a painfully slow pace and I was forced to pay for my own plane ticket one day before I discharged. This place does not care about clients. DONT GO TO WHITE LIGHT.Review from Calvin J

This is one of the top programs in Columbus and offers a full continuum of care. I completed 90 days here and completely transformed my life. Maybe a long time ago? But definitely not today. I had a dedicated treatment team that helped me through all of my issues, filed my FMLA which allowed me to stay as long as I did, and treated me well. I met some amazing people here from all over the country and wouldn't trade this experience for anything. At first I wanted to do detox and get on with my life, but thankfully I stayed for the full program and am feeling great about life. Would suggest to anyone in need of help. Surprised to see all the negative here. Maybe from a long time ago but couldn't be further from my experience.Review from Mary F

White Light Behavioral Health in Columbus, OH, was a nightmare from when they got me in the door on Wednesday 3/6/24 at 1 am. The place was an absolute mess, filthy, and a health hazard was the least of it. The “staff” is what i will call them (not nurses, directors, therapists, supervisors) i dont know if they in fact had any credentials. They did not know what they were doing. No doctors on site, confusion 24/7 as to the medications patients were given. When I arrived they threw me into a room and took all of my belongings and locked it up. They gave me medication when i arrived that I did not know what it was. Lets just say from that point on once they get you inside you are thrown on your own. Thursday morning came and I got the roundabout no one would let me use a phone and they all were telling me to go to this person and that one and the next. I dont even know how to summarize the disaster I endured for 5 days crying and trying to reach my family was impossible. They all are liars and use manipulation tactics to push you around. My family was on my release forms so that they can call and know everything going on and what the plan was. My family called everyday and was completely lied to. They never told me my family was calling. I am more traumatized than when i walked in. I tried getting myself some proper help only to be left in a worse position. Everyone is either new or training because all the people before either quit if they had somewhat of a heart or they got fired. I am disgusted by the treatment and feel terrible for others who are stuck there. They need to be shut down!!! These are some of the names who were awful and manipulated and tried pushing me around. ********** ** ******* *** ******* *** ******* ** ******* ** ******** ** ***** who I am trying to get a hold of who i saw for 1 min over skype and now is MIA.Review from Michelle J

This was the scariest facility I have ever seen. The staff are cold and uncaring. As a fellow nurse who became dependent after an injury after an assault, I was horrified and heartbroken at the care. I was pregnant and scared, trying to get help for myself and my baby. They left me alone for 18 hours without ever checking on me while I was pregnant and trying to get help. When I could muster up the strength to walk myself to the nurse's station or downstairs, they continually made me go back to my room and shut the door. Oh, and the director literally threatened me when I said I didn’t feel comfortable or safe and I wanted to leave and find another facility, in a desperate attempt to get me to stay for the insurance pay out. Despite her threats, I did end up leaving after two days of hell and finding a much better facility that was warm and caring that ultimately saved both of us. I work in treatment now, and every time we get a transfer from White Light, they come with war stories. It’s all about the money, unfortunately.Review from Justin K

MAJOR CONCERNS This facility has some amazing counselors! That's about all I can say. Don't be fooled by the photos. The rooms are all shared. The only single rooms are in detox. There are 6 bathrooms in the entire facility and three showers. All of these bathrooms and showers are shared. While I was there, the facility had over 35 clients, so lots of dirty toilets and showers. Food is not cooked on site, it is delivered 3 times a day. The support staff is very undertrained. The police were called to this facility 4 times during my stay resulting in one arrest. I was out of very much needed medication for 3 days, after advocating with nursing staff for several days, I finally received it. One day, the nursing staff served daily medication in RED SOLO CUP PLASTIC SHOT GLASSES! As a recovering alcoholic, this was absolutely ridiculous!! The maintenance department clearly needs better leadership, as toilets frequently broke and HVAC problems were in dire need of fixing. As is stated earlier, I commend the therapy staff for their dedication to clients, however they are sadly not supported from the higher corporate structure. Unbelievable HIPPA violations. Staff always on personal cell phones. No privacy at medication pass times. Poor communication throughout the entire staffing structure. I left treatment early because of safety, maintenance, medication and overall lack of client comforts. I live I Columbus, however I would not recommend this facility to anyone.Review from Katina B

No license to carry stock medication. There is no Dr on sight. You are over medicated and all meds have to be called into cvs in your name for the facility to legally give them to you, including any detox meds. Some patients waited up to 14 hours or more before getting medication to relieve their symptoms of withdrawal. This led to seizures in several patients. You sign paperwork when you arrive intoxicated and are and you are not given a copy of your treatment plan. Therapy is 15 minutes if you are fortunate to receive any. They call your family and tell them lies about your progress. The case managers do not stay in contact with your insurance and they keep you until your insurance runs out and you are no longer profitable or you are sent to their personal sober living facility. Clients were walking to nearby restaurants to call 911 for help. You are only a paycheck to these people.Review from Thomas W

I would give this facility negative stars if it was an option. Absolute worst place ever. Complete joke. The staff the program. All of it. This place should be investigated. Especially when giving patients the wrong medications and overmedicating patients who already have a mental illness.
