On October 2020 we gave Mustafa a deposit of $2800 for a food truck, we finished our lease with him and he told us it would take 30 days to receive our deposit back. In October of 2021, we returned the truck and expected our deposit back in November. November 30th he texted me and told me about the charges for the window, another small thing and the refrigerator door that he had to replace that was $680. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the fridge door besides scratches a cleaner accidentally put on there because of using a metal scrubber. I then proceeded to ask for the receipt of the fridge door, because I looked the price up for the door and it wasn’t anywhere near that price. He then said he would give me his own receipt, and I stated no, I need the receipt from the place you bought it from. He had ignored the question since and hasn’t returned my deposit at all. He also stated he threw away the other door, and bought a new door for it, but won’t show any receipts on how much it really was. I even called the manufacturer and it was no where near the price he’s charging. I am seeking to get my deposit back and not pay $680 for a fridge door that had absolutely nothing wrong with it besides minor scratches. I will upload the picture of the fridge door as proof of barely any damage. As it is just a stainless steel door. I also added a photo of our conversation about the deposit. Also i might add, the contract for the rental truck never stated anything about damages or was never notarized either. Thank you for your time.Business response

I really appreciate ******* ********* complaint and we are working hard to have the greatest relationship with our customers. ******* ******* and her husband are very professional couples. I leased them a food truck to start their business for the first time. And as always we have been providing them any technical support any time they requested to make sure they don't have any gaps in their business. after compilation of the food truck lease, I financed them a brand new concession trailer. But after returning the food truck there were a few issues which I shared with ******* and to make sure we all are in the same picture. Specifically about the Refrigerator door. I took pictures for our own bookkeeping and I sent a photo to ******* as well. That the Door is completely scratched and we must replace it before we assign it to a new customer. And she was fine with it. When I text her the breakdown unfortunately the couples change the route and after working hours night time and stating that you are stealing our money and etc. As a professional business I decided and let them knew that I will stop by at the business location and to talk to them in person. If still they are not satisfied I will credit the whatever they were charged for the refrigerator door replacement. But again I am proud of these young couples. We are always here to help support and make sure our customers are happy.
I have attached the Refrigerator door picture as well.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: I have yet heard from *******. He was supposed to come here earlier in the week and he never showed up to talk about the charges. He said emailed me at 10pm on Monday night the charges on a Receipt he made and sent it to me and I replied back to him and he said his business hours are closed right now. I was now concerned about the new charges he put on there. Now he’s saying it’s $580 for the fridge door when on the last “receipt” he put $680, and now he has added $260 for the generator wire that has already been paid for when he came to my business in October and gave me the contract. We minuses the generator cord that he made for us that’s was $120 from the charges that I paid for out of pocket when we had our inspection for the gas lines and they weren’t properly put in right. . I’m not happy with these charges at all and until he sends me a receipt from the store showing that he actually purchased a refrigerator door to replace it, I do not want to pay for something that he never changed. If he wants to send the receipt from October stating he bought a new fridge door, this can all be dropped, until then I will not pay for something that was never changed. As for the other charges, the window, decals I am okay paying for.
