Days Inn Columbus is committing fraud and false advertising its property and amenities. We stayed at this hotel on 7/12-7/14 for a cost of $475 for 2 nights. This hotel needs to be shut down. This hotel is using pictures of the hotel that are not true. This is false advertising! I was lured into reserving this hotel even though it has some bad reviews because I looked at the pictures online, and it looks nice. I figured that some of the bad reviews were scammers or people that were way too picky. The pictures posted on Booking.com are not even close to being accurate compared to what we saw when we arrived. All pictures show big tube tvs and different flooring, lighting, bedding, and window coverings. Our reservation was made over 9 months ago, and I requested a lower level room with 2 queen beds as my husband is disabled, and he has difficulty climbing stairs. This hotel has no elevator so how is it *** compliant? Imagine my dismay when we arrived and were told that our room was on the 2nd floor. We were told there were no other rooms available so we proceeded to room 260. Upon entering the room, it didn't look too bad; however, that soon changed when I got a closer look at the bathroom, toilet, tub, floor, sink area, ceiling, and fixtures. The entire room was filthy and looked like it had not been cleaned at all. There was dirt, mold, and filth everywhere: leaky toilet, holes in the wall, human hairs in tub, on the floor, and on the towels. The floor was so dirty that we only removed our shoes to shower and sleep. I spoke to person at front desk and was told manager wouldnt be available until Monday. We then knew nothing was going to be done about the conditions. We then cleaned room ourselves and unpacked our own towels. We stayed because we were in town for a sold-out event, and we knew all hotels would be booked. Since our stay I have contacted manager and Booking; with minimal success. Im hope that BBB will take action and investigate this hotel.Business response

I would like to say that, our property is under renovation. Our 2nd Floor was done with new furnitures, paintings, Drapery. ***** stayed with us for 2 nights and complained about not showing photos in the Booking.com. After work done, we will post all new photos. I am surprised she did not feel new furniture and etc in the room. We were sold out and had no complained form any room guest for that night. If she would asked for HouseKeeping, we had a housekeeping available.
We work hard to keep up our property clean and all our emplyees are very helpful to solve any guest problems. We apologiezed for any inconvenienced during her stay.

I accept the business's response to resolve this complaint. This hotel still needs to be flagged as a fraud. I guess you (Ohio BBB) dont care to help so Im done with this issue.

I stayed at this hotel and there were bed bugs. I was severely bitten all over my body. I would like a refund for all the nights I stayed there because I paid for a hotel that was supposed to be bug free. Not only that, after I left, some of the bugs came with me and I was still being bitten for a month.Customer response

needed a room in columbus ohio for nov 24-25. used booking.com from trivago. did not realize at check out dates had changed to dec 22-23. upon emailed confirmation was when I discovered error. I immediately called the property. Probably within 2hrs of original booking. They informed me had to call booking.com after refusing to move room to Nov.. I did this at which time they contacted the property. Received email from booking.com stating they will not respond. I should contact the property. I have with no response. called wyndham resorts and was told nothing they are just a call center. the problem is they are going to charge me a cancellation fee of $60 something. Not right since I called immediately as you can see since it is still Nov. and been dealing thru chanels to no avail. comfirmation #**********. I do understand this was a no change booking but I did contact them immediately.
