I received a letter on April 26,2024 stating they are foreclosing on my property I Owen free and clear for a mortgage I have never taken out. Call number and can't reach anyone so I'm assuming this is a scam.

      Business response

      05/10/2024

***** ******* is a current property owner of the property located at *** ***** ******* ****** ** *****. ***** ******* was sent a Notice of Intent to Foreclose letter as required by PA law as a current owner of the Property. The original note and mortgage were made by ***** ******* in June 1998. ***** ******* is deceased and believed to be the mother of ***** *******.

MDK spoke with ***** ******* on April 29, 2024, and explained the above related to the loan made by ***** *******. ***** ******* responded that she had been told by the Estate lawyer for her Mother's estate that the property was free and clear of all liens, which was incorrect. MDK's client continues to have a valid and subsisting mortgage upon the property, and MDK has been retained to foreclose the same. MDK offered ***** ******* the telephone number of MDK's client to discuss settlement options; however, she refused to accept the information. MDK has acted properly in regards to the matter referred by our client.

I own 2 timeshares with the ******* **** ********* ****** ************ **** The 2 timeshares have been paid in full so no payment for the timeshares itself is required. On March 21, 2022 around 12:03pm, I called my timeshare company, ******* **** ********* ****** ************ ****, to pay my maintenance fee. ******* **** ********* ****** ************ **** service person named ********* told me that *** (a collection agency) had my account and to call ###-###-#### to pay the maintenance fee. I called this number March 21, 2022 around 12:15pm and received a number of recorded messages which were not clear and hard to understand. After listening several times, the instructions seem to say go to timeshareresolution@manleydeas.com (may it sound like a website) but was unclear about what to do. After a number of calls, it was determined that the *** company was actually ****** **** *********. I went to the website and clicked on the "CONTACT" tab. I made several attempts to contact *** ********* ********** through phone calls, emails and text entry into their website. I sent several emails to timeshareresolution@manleydeas.com as the instruction sounded like "go to" which sounded like an email address and not a website which I was led to believe. I entered my name, phone number and email address and text stating the following at ***** website ***************************** and to email address **********************************: This is ****** ****** trying to pay my **** ********* ****** ************ Inc. maintenance fee. This is my ## attempt to contact *** and I still have not been contacted to resolve this issue. I was told that you have the collection process. I was not aware that this had been turned over to ***. I was trying to pay my maintenance fee but was unable to do so. I also called the number ###-###-#### and received a message for me to go to ti******************************** but was unsuccessful, so I'm sending an email. Mnt fee is 1,782.39.
