In winter of 2021 I began research into painting the vinyl siding on our home. I learned it was not a good idea to paint vinyl siding a darker color than the original. At that point, I abandoned the project. Then I received a brochure from PPG regarding its SIDING SAFE COLOR TECHNOLOGY. This brochure explains that the product can be used to paint a much darker color over a light color, replacing black and raw umber hues with blue. The brochure states that there are more than 80 shades, nearly all of the 2000+ colors available in The Voice of Color palette, and even the ability to pick your own color. I chose 2 colors from the Voice of Color palette. I physically went to the Grove City PPG store and inquired with the gentleman working there whether these two colors were able to be mixed using the SIDING SAFE COLOR TECHNOLOGY. He assured me they were. I spoke to my painter regarding my color choices. He acquired the paint and painted my house. Project was completed in April 2021 and the finished product was beautiful. Now Summer of 2022 and siding is warping all over. On 8-26-22 I contacted PPG on 5th Avenue regarding the problem. I received a call from a rep who was no help. I asked for his supervisor's name and number and left a message for the regional manager on 8-26-22. I received no call back so placed another call on 9-2-22. No response so I placed a third call on 9-12-22. On 9-13-22 I called the PPG store in Grove City and went in personally w can of paint where it was determined that the paint was mixed wrong, paint contained black hues. Bob filed a complaint at that time. Received call from regional manager and a visit to look at siding. He took pics and stated I nor my painter did anything wrong. He was supposed to turn in the information to tech services dept. Cannot get a response on what the status is.
