I requested an interior painter from Angi Home Advisor and after the person they sent didn't finish the job, they assign a man named ****** D., who appeared at my house two hours late and after I cancelled my project with Angi.
****** D. arrived to my house with ******* ***** and *** ******. They started the job, but they said they have to leave early and after we signed a piece of paper as a contract they promised to comeback at 7:00AM next day November 5th, 2022.
They didn't comeback and they didn't answer the phone calls (380-213-0787). I trusted them because Angie recommended ****** D.
I paid in advance, $800 dollars by check, for ******* *****, ****** D. and *** ****** made some paint in my house.
******* ***** changed the check at PLS **** * ***** ** Columbus, Ohio, but because they didn't do the job I stop the payment in my bank.
Unfortunately they received the money from PLS checks changers, and now PLS is demanding I pay them with extra fees.Initial Complaint

On 2.25.22 I cashed my payroll check from Woody's at PLS on ********* ***. The check was cut by ADP. I received the cash, PLS kept the check.
When I returned on 4.22.22, to cash my last paycheck from Woody's, which was about $1038, the manager cashed the check, and returned $500 something to me. He said he kept $600 something because the check they cashed on 2.25.22 had been deposited by mobile app on 3.30.22. He also charged me a $50 fee for the returned check. I asked Columbus Check Cashers aka PLS who cashed the check. He ignored the question. He said they were owed the money. He gave me a doc that said the check was cashed on 2.25.22 and deposited by mobile app on 3.30.22.
I went back to Woody's and asked them to help me find out who deposited the check on 3.30.22. The manager Joey, contacted ADP. ADP gave the information to Joey but not to me. I changed jobs, so Joey, the manager at Woody's, is no longer helping me or returning my calls. ADP says they can only share the information with Woody's, not me.
The only person who could have deposited the check by mobile app on 3.30.22 would be an employee of Columbus Check Cashers /PLS as I gave them the check on 2.25.22 in order for them to cash it.
I didn't have the check on 3.30.22, Columbus Check Cashers/PLS did. So they deposited into an account with a mobile app, not me.

The individual who has made the inquiry has not provided this authorization.
