ON AUGUST 7TH 2022 I PLACED A ORDER FOR PIZZA AND GARLIC BREAD FOR TOTAL OF $47.80 ORDER NUMBER (#193229736). WHEN I ARRIVED TO PICK UP MY ORDER I WAS TOLD THEY WERE SOLD OUT OF THE PIZZA AND I WOULD GET A REFUND BACK TO MY CREDIT CARD ENDING 7703 FOR $39.61 AND I KEPT THE CHEESY GARLIC BREAD. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED MY REFUND FOR $39.61 AND EVERYTIME I CALL THE COMPANY I GET A VOICE MAIL.Business response

We have a lot of trouble with staffing and keeping the existing staff able to keep up with phone calls. This is the first we are hearing of this issue. I have reached out directly to the customer at the email address provided to let them know that I have located the order from 8/7/22 and have initiated a full refund. I have also offered to send them a gift card for their troubles.Customer response

I booked Mikey's food truck in OCTOBER 2021 for my JULY weddng and paid a deposit. Yesterday, they announced 2 new locations. Today they cancelled prepaid events for multiple people and are not sending refunds. Did I mention my wedding is in 80 days. Meanwhile, we were in contact in January and April about details without one mention of cancellation. I need a refund and then some... and a little help since they truly dropped the ball just before the wedding!Business response

It looks like this complaint was filed the day before it was resolved. Public perception can vary greatly from reality, which is really what marketing is all about. One of those locations announced was a permanent parking spot for the mobile truck that we've been operating at weddings, festivals, and all types of various locations. Unfortunately, the mobile part of the truck is failing and about a day or so after discussing options, it was decided that we needed to take it off the road and unfortunately cancel all private events we had booked, and issue refunds of all deposits paid. We simply could not afford to completely overhaul the engine or acquire a new truck. Once this difficult decision had been reached, we reached out to every one with the unfortunate news. ***** was one of those contacts, and was not the only one who's wedding was affected, sadly.
I reached out personally on Wed 4/27 with a more detailed explanation of what happened, and was as transparent as possible. Despite the stress it put on her wedding planning, Ms *** understood and accepted our decision. Her refund was issued that same day through PayPal, and I sent her a $100 gift card for use at one of our shops at a time of her choosing.
This entire ordeal has left a bad taste in our mouth, as we never wish to disappoint the people who invite us to take part in their special day. We have refunded all who were affected, and have done our best to go the extra mile with making things right, including sharing our troubles with complete transparency.
We apologize again, to Ms *** and all who have been affected by our problems.
