      Tell us why here...

Mr. ******* years of residency does not effect the terms and conditions of his month to month lease. Paragraph 6 of his lease specifically states the following.

A 30-day written notice was sent to Mr. ***** on March 18, 2024, 43 Days prior to his lease termination date of April 30, 2024.

*** ******** ************ landlord, has complied with the terms of the lease and hopes Mr. ***** will turn in keys on or before April 30, 2024.

On 01/30/2024 I received a call from ***** asking me to come to the rental office when I got there she asked me do I know a CK, I said yes, she showed me 3 video of four kids one was mine he was shadow boxing with his friend walking down the street. She accused my son and three other black males of attempting to open car doors of residents which the videos do not show anything of sort and she advised me that they are asking me to leave the premises by 02/29/2024 do to him being associated with the boys. None of the video show my son touching any cars. I feel that my son was racial profiled for something the video's did not show. All this was advised to me after I paid my rent now being asked to move in a short time. I also feel that I was lied to ***** advised myself and another resident that she been here for 25 yrs and can put whoever she want out for any reason or none at all. Called my son a **** ( my mother was a witness. So I called there corporate office and spoke with a Stacy to see what is going on because the evidence that ***** and the other office managers showed did not support there accusation she she was no help told me I am responsible for my sons friend I asked how when they all live out here she then states he guilty by association. So because he hang out with them they can do this she said yes they can put anyone out anytime for no reason if they want. I ended the call. Soon after I got a letter for them to enter my home 01/31/24, no 24 hr notice or nothing and they did a walk through on what will need to be fixed which I feel is not right. I have been a resident here for almost 2 years never been late on rent or had any problem not even my son and to do all this after I paid my rent is just wrong like I just have money to put into a new place after I gave them my rent. I had just got out the hospital due to my health and now I have to find a place by the end of February or me and my kids will be homeless. I feel this was handle very poorly and a lot of dishonesty being told to us resident that are being ask to leave (4 in total). I have made several calls as well as other residents about cars being broken into and we put or own cameras up because they weren't. They only put cameras up after ***** car was broken into and the first group of boys she see on camera she accused them. There were two cars broken into last night my son was home so who is really breaking into these cars. The boy who did it advised me today that he had to say anything to stat out of trouble and blamed my child another boy

I categorically deny any and all charges outlined in the complaint filed against The Fritsche Corporation and Yorkshire Village Company.

The Fritsche Corporation constructed and has managed York Terrace East Apartments since 1969. Our current management staff has worked on this site for at least 20 years. Of the 348 apartments, over 75% of our residents have called York Terrace home, from between 3 – 27 years.

Our strength in customer relations focuses on solving problems in a reasonable period of time to restore a sense of peace and quiet in the community. In November ’23, December ’23, and January ’24 many residents reported their cars were ransacked and personal property stolen. There were so many reports, Columbus Police were seen making random patrols through the property. In January, a video tape showed four teenagers walking through an overflow parking area checking for unlocked cars. Once identified, the parents were given the option of receiving our 30-day notice to terminate the lease or giving us their voluntary notice to terminate their lease. ******** ***** choose to give her voluntary notice (see attached). Ms. ***** viewed the video tape on January 30th and called her mother. At no time, witnesses in the office observed, was her son labeled a **** or any other derogatory term.

Inspections are routinely done on move out notices to identify any capital improvements that may be needed. Ms. ***** was home and granted us access to do our inspection.

Landlord or Tenant, on a month-to-month lease, can give at least a 30 day notice to terminate the lease.

Ms. ***** occupied the apartment for the month of February 2024 and her rent will not be refunded.

      Sincerely,

      ******* C. *******, CEO

      Complaint: 21229110

I am rejecting this response because: I am seeking my deposit back. And I have witnesses that can vouch that my son was not part if that. My car is one of many that got broken into as well as my neighbor car we are the one that called and reported it. The video that I have requested several time and still don't have that they showed me 3 video of my son and he was nowhere near them cars at all and it was day light and when expressed that I was asked to leave due to him associating with the boys. I have witnesses for that as well as The Civil right have took on our case. ***** stated he need to stop acting like a **** and that I have 3 witnesses for that as well. ***** is racial profiling and enough is enough. Just because someone been with the company for years. I have recently spoke to other family as well as maintenance men and has been confirmed this is her pattern. Then to hold my deposit when I never got a proper letter. The one i got says estimate.  I shampoo the entire home and and she inspected the apartment after i llturned myb key in. I was advised by Cynthia and ***** that I left the home clean and she gives back entire deposit when i called. I have witnesses for that as well. But again that another way to keep my money since they couldn't charge me pet fee. I lived there for 2 yrs this resolution is not resolved. Will also forward this information to civil rights movement as well as channel 10 and 6 has took on this story as well. Thanks for your attention to this message.

      Regards,

      ******** *****

I can can provide written statements.  They are refusing to give me a copy of the videos that they showed me. Office as well as corporate won't provide them to me as well. Again in the 3 videos my son is nowhere near cars.
