Premier asphalt installed a asphalt driveway and concrete apron for my residence. Premier did not properlly level the asphalt and concrete where they meet causing draining issues where water sits on my driveway and is deteriorating the driveway. **** from Premier made several promises by text messages and via phone that he would correct the problem. I initially posted a negative review on ****** and **** contacted me in April 2024 and requested I take the review done and he would resolve the problem. **** ignored several text messages and phone calls and claims that a neighbor who lives near me gave him the wrong number. **** again told me the first week of June 2024 he would correct the issue on my driveway (due to premiers mistake). **** never corrected the issue and has not responded to my recent message requesting a call back. My driveway is worsens each day due to the poor workmanship by Premier Asphalt. I will be meeting with the Delaware County (small claims) to complete a small claime lawsuit on June 25, .Customer response

I had my driveway replaced last October, 2023. I paid the invoice in full on 11/03/2023 for $6,500. The driveway had ponding in one area and the surface looked terrible. The day they did my driveway, they left my yard torn up with chunks of grass missing and debri all over the street and my mulch bed. They even cracked a piece of my garage siding trim. After numerous calls they came and attempted to make repairs. I spoke with the owner, Josh, who said he was too busy to come see the driveway. I have now had several professional contractors come take a look and the surface is crumbling in spots and needs repaired. It appears to have the base layer exposed and no final layer. I called a month ago and asked if someone could come see all the stones on the surface and let me know what the problem was. No one has gotten back to me. The pictures include the original problems and now the current problem of the bad surface.Customer response

Description: Constituent hired Premier Asphalt and Concrete to install a new driveway in July 2022. She stated within a week it rained and she had ponding on the driveway because it's not draining properly. She stated the driveway it right up against her house and so the water will go into the basement because of how much it is puddling up. She has contacted them multiple times to get this fixed. She stated the owner came to look and told her it was done incorrectly and they offered to fix it but then stopped contacting her. She has tried to contact them since and they have not come back or tried to repair it.

I’m replying to an email received from **********. I previously replied to this matter by phone, and should be in my records. The original complaint was that the driveway installed by Premier Asphalt did not drain properly, causing ponding, which then slowly soaked downward near my house foundation. Premier has repaired and replaced the driveway. There has not been enough rain, as of yet, to tell whether or not the replaced driveway will drain properly. And, during the repair Premier crew hit the drainage hole on the street curb, by my driveway, with with their equipment, and busted the concrete to pieces. For these reasons my issue is not resolved.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: Premier employees absolutely broke the curb with their equipment. There were scrape marks on the street, curb, and my driveway approach that their equipment caused during repair. I’ve been more than fair and patient waiting for the repair, which was over a year, and to have them reply “they didn’t do it” is more than an insult! You can see scrape marks in the picture, and also bits of asphalt.

Premier Asphalt & Concrete poured a new concrete driveway at our home in August. Gary was on site in the beginning to remove the old black top driveway and visited to collect final payment and discussed the curing process. We did not drive on the new driveway for about 14 days. We were told it’s okay after 10 but chose to give it a few more days. As we began using the garage again, we noticed red stains along the driveway and on a slab of sidewalk approaching our porch. One side of the driveway approach has visible “splatter” of concrete, that someone didn’t smooth out, and we’re seeing visible cracks along the center line of the driveway. They’re small but concerning. My husband reached out to Gary several times and he never revisited. About 6 weeks later someone name Jordy stopped by. My husband walked the driveway with him and pointed out concerns, Jordy said he would be back Monday morning to power wash the drive and sidewalk to remove the red stains and reseal. He has never been back and that was roughy 4 weeks ago. My husband text him without acknowledging who he was so he could get a call back. Jordy called, seemed surprised, and said I haven’t forgotten you I’ll be there tomorrow, 10/14. We worked from home and neither he nor anyone showed up. Premiere has been very disappointing post service. Things happen that may require follow up and follow through and they’ve failed at both. We really want the issues addressed. This isn’t about the curing process. We understand that, however these issues have nothing to do with that.Business response

I am responding to this concern that I attached below. I do remember ***** ****** and ***** discussing this. Was not aware that nothing was done to satisfy you, it is best if I reach out with a phone call and take control of the situation to make sure this gets resolved. I am not sure I can do a visit this week with Thanksgiving and being out of town, but I will be in contact.Customer response

Josh’s response to our complaint was the week before Thanksgiving. He stated he would take control of the issue since people he named had not. He stated that it’s the week before Thanksgiving and due to travel he would reach out after the holiday; he has NOT. Common theme with people at Premier after you’ve paid for the service. Jordy said he’d be back in October. It’s what initiated the complaint and Josh appears to be doing the same thing. Very unfortunate
On Friday, 12/16, I sent an email reminding him of what he said weeks earlier yet we had not heard from him. He responded asking for our location and phone number. I responded immediately with the information. No call from Josh, or anyone at Premier so I reject Josh’s response. Not sure if he doesn’t care or think we’ll be difficult to meet with because of the complaint. That’s not the case. Address our concerns and do what was said would be done when we reached out in Oct. Don’t walk away or mislead during the complaint process.
If nothing more comes from this other than it gets posted, for other hard working customers to consider the risk of doing business with Premier then it’s worth it. It might have been a new lesser experienced crew that did our driveway. Whether it was or not, no one has taken the time to remediate. What we do know is we’ve been handled poorly.

We agreed to the proposal sent to us in the amount of $5,900 via email and of which was paid in full on June 10, 2022. No one from their company came to look at the condition of the driveway in person, they did their quote by satellite imagery. June 8, 2022, Premier came to our location to remove old asphalt, widen driveway and replace with new asphalt. They showed up later in the day and removed old asphalt but could not complete the job due to the plant being closed. Later that evening, it rained heavily and flooded the tore up driveway to the point they could not work on it the next day. June 10, a crew showed up to remove as much water as they could. Before they laid down the new asphalt, I asked them if they were going to lay down limestone to help with the low spots. They said no, that they would be laying extra asphalt down. Unfortunately, this did not solve the problem. That same weekend, we experienced more heavy rain and the newly "completed" driveway was still holding water. Pictures will be attached. We contacted Premier about the issue multiple times and was told someone was coming to look at it. No one ever showed. Called once more and they said the driveway was holding water because of a low spot in the yard. I will add they parked their roller in our yard at that very location for 2 days. My fiancé has called multiple times to speak w/ a manager and was never called back, left a voicemail w/ the president of the company and was never called back. Needless to say, they have not tried to resolve the issue even though we have given them months to do so. We would like our driveway to be fixed properly to the point that it is not holding water. I am responding to this concern that I attached below. I do remember **** discussing this, but I was under the understanding that there was some years grading issues that were causing the problems. Per Josh, he will go to take a look at the issue. He believes someone had already been out to take a look at the work and that the driveway has a grading issue. They were not hired for that, only for install of driveway.
