I called to make an appointment adn give them my insurance info. Today, I took my 2017 Ford Expedition to them and they replaced two windows. The passenger window is not tinted. I called them, and was told the back windows were tinted by the factory in the back, but the front windows were tinted later. He said he could put the old window in, but then said they couldn't as they had trashed it. Then he suggested I submit the claim to insurance to see if they would pay for the tinting.
I paid nothing, they sent the invoice to my insurance company.
They should have told me they could not replace the window with a tinted window. I should have been given the option before any work was done, not to have that window replaced.

Unfortunately, your vehicle has aftermarket tint. We replaced the window to factory standards the way it came off the assembly line. Your insurance company does not cover the tint during the glass replacement and did not authorize it. We bill and do what your insurance company stated on the work order. As explained to you multiple times, you simply would need to either reach out to your insurance company to have them do a supplement to get it retinted at a tint shop, or take it to a tint shop to have it retinted. After the tint shop retints it, you pay the shop directly and file for reimbursement with your insurance company. We're sorry your windows got broken, but we did the work your insurance company work order stated.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: my complaint is that none of this was explained to me before the work was completed. They should have given me the option, rather than doing the work. It is my option is say whether I want the work done.They took my vehicle, and did the work. This wasn't fair to me at all.
I will also call Nationwide Insurance also to verify what has been said.
I also didn't appreciate the tech telling me they could put the old window in, then saying no, they couldn't put the old window in - why offer that at all.

I purchased a full windshield replacement from the company in late December of 2023. I had spoken to someone about the issue. I had previously discovered a leak in the sunroof that had been taken care of before paying this company. It was still slightly leaking but not from the sunroof. The windshield wasn’t sealed on the top right corner. This was addressed to whoever I spoke with. I wanted a new windshield to fix that unsealed part of it. About 6 weeks after the install it had started to leak in the middle. Image will show this in red markings. This is in the center of the windshield where it was leaking. It had sat through rain, and freezing temps. The top seal wasn’t flush to the metal in the middle. This is not a quality installment. Because of this error I am to assume water got through this error, froze, opened up the seal, and made a slight path for water to enter the cabin hence the leak. It hadn’t leaked for 6 weeks until this point!! The company states they wouldn’t guarantee their warranty but that was never said to me in any form or fashion. It was however stated they couldn’t guarantee it wouldn’t leak. Not sure what type of company installs glass with sealant that doesn’t guarantee it won’t leak then not warranty it. That’s no different than having a roof replacement, then the roofing company saying we can’t guarantee it won’t leak, and we don’t back our warranty. They sent a tech to fix the leak which was left in an unprofessional eyesore of a job! Not a 100% satisfaction guarantee as they state. Very aestheticly unpleasant the least to say. I had left several messages, and texts to no avail. Finally the owner reached out and said we’re not going to warranty the work after I emailed him. It is on their website that it’s a lifetime guarantee, and 100% satisfaction. In this case this is untrue. Since the company refuses to fix the horrendous “patch job” and warranty their work I would like a full refund.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:The company doesn’t warranty their work, or back their alleged 100% satisfaction guarantee. This was the reason for a refund which they won’t apply to their unprofessional installment, and rework of said unprofessional patch job!

The date of the incident was November 17th it was between 12:00 and 5:00 was when he was supposed to show up the amount that we paid was $265 I believe and what he was supposed to do was replace the front room of my car before he did that he decided that he was going to take him and run some codes for my car which he did and then you told me later that everything was fine he fixed it he finished up and I called my mom and she paid him with a credit card and then he got ready to leave and I had the case for the car and I went to lock head and it wouldn't lock rocking system is gone then I tried to start it and it started but I had no uoc age amount no speedometer no security system you know windows up and down all of that was caught and so I texted his boss and him and they said oh you don't mind a few years or whatever okay so good night babe of the following day that Sunday the car would start off everything about it the car was making a funny noise it had me before and then everything just went you know and they're telling me that it's my fault I tried that I spoke to the man three or four times he says they're not liable that you know this is all my fault before this man came out to fix my window my car running just fine I had security system I could tell how fast I was going everything and now I have nothing and I have tried and tried and tried to get him to help me and he will not I want damages I want to be able to go and fix my car and have him pay for itBusiness response

We replaced your windshield for the agreed upon price. You asked our technician to do other work as a "favor" which was never agreed upon by our office staff. He looked at your vehicle and your vehicle barely even ran before. This has nothing to do with what you paid us to do.

I would like ypu to put in********* there how much this has cost me and how uncooperative they have been to fix this problem and was not willing to work with me at all to fix my car the only thing that was wrong was my windsAZhield before he came and now I hhave had to replace my electrical system and he also shorted out my radio he took this on and did not ask me before he did the damage to my car
