I hired RTD home inspection to inspect my home prior to purchasing. Roger missed key factors including black mold in the crawl space. The crawl space was accessible yet he took picture from crawl space entry. If he went under house in crawl space the black mold was very clear. We found this during remodel as we moved into our new home. I have statements from my realtor and mold company. The mold company states this mold was there for very long time it did not happen after we moved into home like Roger claims. I also have statement from realtor stating that Roger was going “ to make it right” yet when we attempted to collect payment via lawyer and certified letter he denied. We never went to court we simple tried to resolve with letter. All of the before and after pictures are provided including statements and letter from our attorney sent to his. He did not even reply to the letter. Our costs are over 13k in damages. I would like Roger to be held account for his lack of accuracy.

      To whom it may concern:

Please be advised that my law firm represents RTD Inspections, and Mr. Roger D’******. My client just received your letter dated Nov. 2, 2022, in the mail, yesterday. I received it in my email today. Accordingly, we would like more time to fully respond to Mr. **** ******** Complaint, referenced above.

In the letter you sent, Mr. ****** indicated that his “Desired Settlement” would be a “refund”. Presumably, he means a Refund of the amount of money that he paid RTD Inspections to do the inspection on his property. As a matter of fact, Mr. ****** did receive a refund of the money paid to RTD Inspections, the sum of $400.00, via check, which was cashed by Mr. ****** on Nov. 7th, 2022. He has had the check for months, but did not cash it until AFTER he wrote the BBB Complaint against RTD Inspections, and Mr. Roger D’******.

Accordingly, since he has received the remedy he requested, I believe this matter should be dismissed in its entirely. However, if you need more information, I will forward you more documentation regarding RTD Inspections’ previous responses in this matter, that are quite detailed, on or before Nov. 21st, 2022.

Thank you for allowing this extension, to fully respond to the Complaint, if needed.

      Regards,

      *******

      Hello,

I am sorry for any misunderstanding but I clearly stated in my rejection that we paid more than 400 for inspection. I am not sure why he refined 400. I believe that it was 600 I am trying to find the documents to show payment. So he did not fully refund us. Furthermore, we paid for a full inspection he did a a have hearted job. The issue is that he did not crawl under house like he should have if he had he would have seen the mold as well as the rotten floor Joyce’s from mold. I am very disappointed that he can get away with this. We upheld our end with payment he should have taken time and provided us with accurate inspection so we could have decided if the house was safe and something we wanted to purchase. I will look for contract and bank statement. Please review all the documents I sent originally showing avaidavidt from mold guy. Also we field complaint with inspector board with state and they opens a case.
