We had our driveway paved. At the time of the estimate (summer of 2021), I made it clear that we wanted the drive six inches wider than the previous one. The estimate provide was based on our request. The driveway was staked out on or around 06/09/22. On that date, I reminded **** (Cardinal Asphalt employee who provided the estimate) that we wanted the driveway six inches wider than the previous one. He indicated he would stake it out providing 7 inches wider. The driveway took approximately a week for prep and pour. At one point, I could see the driveway was too narrow so I called ****. He said that he would be out the next morning (prior to pouring). He never showed up so I spoke to the workmen doing the driveway. The driveway was poured on or around 06/15. Once the driveway was done, it took a week before we were able to use the driveway. After pulling a car onto the drive, I noticed it was narrower than our original driveway. I called **** on 06/23. He said he would be by the following Monday (06/27). **** did not show, so on 06/29 I texted him. He came over on 06/29, measured the drive, and said he would get back to me. At the time, **** measured the drive and agreed the driveway was between 8 ft 6 in and 8 ft 8 in. **** texted back on 07/06/22 indicating the driveway was not as wide as we had originally hoped for but the square footage was the same as estimated. **** indicated he painted the driveway out 6 inches wider but the crew did not pour it the 6 inches wider. I then measured the square footage which was less than the estimate. He had the owner, ***, call me. On 07/06/22, *** (owner) called then came out and measured the drive. He agreed the square footage was less than the estimate. On 07/06, he offered us a $500 refund. I spoke with him and accepted the offer on 7/11 but he had to figure out how to refund the money since we already paid. He has never gotten back to me or returned any of my phone message since 07/11/22.

Paid for driveway seal coating. Prep work was virtually ignored, and materials in my opinion were not sufficient for the job. I contacted ****** Hazz and was told **** would stop by and take a look. Three weeks later ,no show and the coating is already wearing off. The work was done 5/25. Still cracks are not filled and the light dusting of sprayed material is wearing through. Ive lived here 20 plus years and have had the driveway sealed many times. This is sub par and I will never recommend this company.

The cement driveway was poured the first week of July, 2020. The invoice was #****, for $13,650 and it was paid July 7,2020. I emailed Cardinal with complaints on cement spotting our stones and a dent in the corner of the siding from their cement cutting machine. The house was sided the year before. Employees came out and scrubbed the stones, but the dent was left in the siding. This year we had a snowplow come and plow our driveway and it left big chips from the apron and the beginning of our driveway. One section was badly pitted. Another section where the driveway separates to a parking area, there was chips also. Cardinal laid both of these, but there was a lip between the parking area and the driveway. The huge pieces between the apron and the driveway were because it was not laid flush to the already established apron. I emailed Dan requesting that he come out and see what happened and provide some resolution. He called my husband and said that the pitting was because we put salt on our driveway and he was not responsible for the chipping from the snowplow. Knowing that we could take it no further with him, I decided to file a complaint with the BBB. Maybe the pitting was because of the Pet Safe salt, but the chipping was because his company did not lay the driveway flush with either the apron nor the Cardinal laid parking space. Nor did he compensate us for the dented siding. I would like to receive compensation for the siding and replace the chipping so that it is flush with the apron.

We removed and replaced only a portion of the ****** driveway. Because the entire drive was not replaced the newer portion raised up when the ground froze (as a result of the freeze/thaw that occurs during our Ohio winters) and the snow plow company that they hired chipped the edge of the new concrete with the plow blade.

We do not believe that the dent in the siding is a result of the saw that we use to cut the drive as it sits just above the concrete and this tool wouldn't come in contact with the bottom of the home in this way.  However, because we have no way of being certain that this damage didn't occur during another phase of the construction we have offered to repair this for the customer.  Dan, one of the owners of the company, has been in contact with the homeowner and in a good faith effort to offered to repair the chipped areas of concrete as well as the replace the dented piece of siding.

We are confident that we can come up with an acceptable solution for the customer.

Although they deny denting the siding, it was not dented before the driveway was done and was dented right after,
