[[BBB transcription via attachment, see attachment for complete details]] I first went to Motortech when my car was not acting right. took it in, stated ran test and nothing was wrong. Care letter on ended up overheating. Motortech then stated thermostat needs replaced. Paid them to replace it. Drove my care and it continued to overheat. Motortech stated line needed burped. took it in for them to do. Car continued to overheat. Took it in and on then they replaced thermostat. Later on car overheated again. Motortech stated blown head gasket. I paid for this and my car was in the shop for a month. I picked car up they ruined belt and had to replace it. I then picked it up and white smoke came out. took it back in paid for them to replace what they said occurred when they put my car engine back together. Car then burned through oil, took it in and they did 2 separate ring treatments. Car continued to burn oil. I went through procedures, labor, procedure and surgery as my car sat in driveway unable to use. I had car towed to Motortech. I waited over a week to hear from owner. He gave me incorrect amount. I have paid so far, offered to only credit 3,000 with finding a used motor with 200,000 miles on it when mine last going in had 140,000 on it. Owner also stated motor would be 6,000 and I needed to pay the other half. I stated no I do not agree. He stated he would call me back and never has. I called him back twice a week for 3 weeks now. Front office says they can not handle this and owner has to. Owner went on a week and a half vacation during this time however prior and once coming back has yet to call me back. I found a reputable website that sells used engines with 100,000 miles for under 2,000 and 1 year warranty I sent the office to show owner. Continued no response from owner.

We will be happy to install the engine that the customer supplies, as soon as they pay for the engine. There will be NO labor fees to install their engine. We offered to install a used engine that we supplied, for a fee, but she declined. The manager that did a poor job communicating with her has been terminated for doing a poor job with other customers, also.

I apologize for missing the first notice of a complaint. My new Manager, *** will be taking care of her.

I am rejecting this response because:
My engine was ruined by this business and the mechanics there. There was no confusion by the manager on anything he told me. I came to motortech To have my car checked and fixed from the beginning. And it was not done correctly. I have paid over 5000 dollars just for the engine itself, not including the prior payments I had to make to getting that checked to getting the thermostat replaced. All which led to My car now being completely undrivable. The shop with the mechanics missed the rings on my car being burned from the very beginning of head gaskets when it was taken apart. Other issues were missed that they were supposed to be able to find and repair. If my engine would have been fixed correctly The first time, let alone when I took it in when it first started acting up and overheating would have My car currently and not have paid thousands more. It is the shop's responsibility to fix a problem what should have been fixed correctly in the beginning. I was initially offered By the shop when I talked to the shop owner that they would pay up to $3000 with trying to state A used engine at 6000 thousand dollars. I found an engine for around a hundred thousand miles used with a warranty for under two thousand. The shop needs to either fix this problem at no cost to me or refund me my money from the thermostat on.
