I called Korrect Plumbing to rerout my water line through the kitchen and bathroom ,one of the water line under the slap was leaking they worked 2 days.but because I had to this job as early as I can so I refused a statement. But I think they took advantage of me .Business response

I believe this is an unjustified complaint. This was a larger job that the customer chose to have us complete on a "Time and Material" used basis instead of getting a firm price for the work completed. We ran new waterlines to the kitchen, 2 bathrooms, laundry room and one of the outside faucets. The pricing reflects our standard rates for almost 45 man hours of work plus the material used. Had we given a firm price the cost would have been at least $1000 more for the work. The customer already paid us for the job. I really don't know what we should have done differently in this situation. Plumbing is expensive.Initial Complaint

We hired Korrect plumbing to install a water monitor and shutoff. Within minutes of arriving the plumber says our expansion tank is not working and he'll get a new one but it will be expensive! I told him that we just had new water heaters put in and maybe the expansion tank is new. Please note that it was not leaking and was working properly. He kept telling me that he could tell that it was not working but had no proof. He also said that he was replacing the pressure relief valve. I called the plumbers who installed our water heaters in march and they had replaced the PRV in March 2023. I told him not to replace it and he insisted it "looked old". I told him to stop work and leave because he was being dishonest. He told me that he had all the plumbing apart and if he left I would be without water. I told him to complete what he was doing and leave. The estimate also stated they were to cap off a pipe to an old pool house. That line was capped off years ago. I contacted the president of Korrect plumbing and he stated that he contacted the plumbing company that put in our water heaters (*****) and that the expansion tank was not replaced at the time of replacing the water heaters and that they (***** Plumbers) said it the expansion tank was "bad". ***** ******** came to my house examined the expansion tank. They stated in writing that it was in good working condition in March and that they never said it was bad. In Conclusion, Korrect plumbing replaced the pressure relief valve that was new, having just been replaced by ***** ******** on 3-16-23. Korrect plumbing replaced an expansion tank that was examined and found to be in good working order by ***** ******** on 3-16-2023. The tank was not leaking and was working well on 7-10-2023. ***** ******** attempted to charge me for capping off a line going to the pool house which was capped off several years ago. The ceo of Korrect, ****** *********, also lied when he emailed me and stated that he spoke with ***** ******** and that they told him the expansion tank was bad. They put in writing that the tank was in good working condition.Business response

This was a challenging situation to work through. The customer was given some inaccurate information about work done by the previous plumber that was cleared up after a site visit. We did replace a pressure reducing valve that was installed by the previous plumber and was included in our quote. Our estimator found the pressure high on the waterlines when we were out to give the quote so we included a new one - unaware that it was new until the home owner let us know the day of the job. We would have handled the part as a warranty replacement as it may still have been defective. My personal conversation with the service manager of ***** ******** did not line up with the written statement about the expansion tank they provided to the customer. There were some areas we could have communicated better with the customer but we had no intention of taking advantage or selling products that were not needed. This complaint has been resolved with a billing adjustment as requested by the customer.Customer response

Please process this enclose complaint against Korrect Plumbing, ensuring to address and stop company fraud against vulnerable citizens of this community. Your companies' services of August 5-8, 2022, warrants this formal complaint. August 5, 2022, although informed several times that your company’s HVAC services was scheduled, your lead plumber examined my non-functioning air conditioning unit. He left his assistance to address my plumbing repair questions, as the plumbing was identified and corrected within the first half-hour of the visit, as he denied addressing my further leakage concerns. August 8, 2022, HVAC represent, as written on the invoice immediately diagnosed improper duct work requiring -floors and Wall removal, furnace and ductwork replacement, company repair estimation visitation, and my purchase of window air conditioning unit; as completion of required HVAC work will not happen before summer’s end. He informed of incomplete plumbing work and billed. August 10,2022, Seller’s HVAC company identifies and repairs blown air conditioner fuse, which was the only source of the problem, and property properly cools and heats. I am refuting your present total billing of $527.00, see attached Plumbing and HVAC billings, as I will only pay for the plumbing repair of August 5, 2022, no other hours or labor. Korrect came highly recommended as a company to trust, yet your worker’s incomplete and incompetent services, and fraudulent business practices caused me to needless suffering, financial concerns, and mental anguish. I have given full credit towards this customer's invoices for the plumbing and HVAC services we provided. However, this review was undeserved. After we provided service, the first action of communication to us that the customer was dissatisfied with us was a 1 star google review - no email, no phone call, no opportunity for a discussion or a conversation about a resolution or even about the basis of our diagnosis. We did identify installation issues with the HVAC system and provided the technical specifications to back up our findings. The installation didn't meet our standard and we don't believe it will work properly - especially during the heating season. The home was renovated and this included relocating the HVAC system - the supply air ductwork is significantly undersized. We chose not to make a repair on a system that isn't going to work properly because we then could become liable for future issues. We don't have a commissioned position within company so there is no financial benefit to any individual to mislead a customer to purchase something they do not need. I would encourage Ms. Grant to contact another reputable HVAC company for a second opinion on the HVAC system. I believe the company that came out to get it going again (it already broke once) was referred to her by the seller of the home - most likely the company who installed the system.
Our difference of opinion with another company doesn't mean we are fraudulent.Customer response

My BBB online complaint was posted after notifying the company of my complaint and resolution by certified mail, in addition to several e:mail exchanges with Korrect's Vice President****** *********. In addition to filing my BBB complaint online, I sent a copy of my complaint letter to this organization. V.P. ********* informed me he stood by the actions of his company and I could do what I wished, thus the online review and complaint. In fact, V.P. ********* and his e:mails were so far out of line, I informed him to stop the e:mail exchanges, as it was clear that he either did not read my certified complaint, or he did not care. With the exception of Korrect's unfactual complaint and resolution response, I have not received an e:mail or letter informing me that the Korrect has written off my billings. What V.P. ********* has made clear, and I concur, I am notto contact their organization in the future. My complaint remains, until Korrect informs me in writing what they have stated to this organization.Business response

BUYER BEWARE! Both my AC and heater/furnace are failing to blow out at all. This happened right when i had company coming from out of state and they all need hotel rooms now. Korrect said they couldn't get anyone out until NINE days later! Nine days in THIS heat! It would be one thing if this was just a normal service request, but this is about a defective installation or product and they are expecting me to just roast until they get around to checking it out and fixing it. I would never use them again with this in mind. It isn't just about friendly employees or the like. If the company doesn't have responsive customer service when their products prove defective then you are stuck with a lemon and no way to stay cool (or warm, had this been the winter).Business response
