I had a repair person come out on the day before Thanksgiving to possibly repair my electric stove. The repair person said I would need to replace the two front dual elements because the wires must have been loose and it shorted out the small burners. But I watched him also loosen the left front connection to the large burner which I did not understand. After some further discussion I told him I would think about it and get back to him. On Thanksgiving morning I turned that burner on it made a loud pop and sparks and flame shot out from the switch knocking all the power out to my home. When I tried to flip the breaker it still would not come back on so I immediately tried to contact the repair man. Since it was Thanksgiving I had to leave a message. Fortunately I was later able to get the power back on. When I spoke to him on Friday the next day I told him he was directly responsible for the switch burning up and I wanted him to replace it and he reluctantly agreed telling me he would call me back with the date and time. Since he did not call over the weekend , I called him Monday morning, but now he said he refuses to fix it because I raised my voice in my message to him and I wasn't nice. At the very least he needs to replace the burner switch at no charge.
