on 10/27/21 I went to Dr.D office in search of someone to help me with my TMJD. Upon arrival, everyone seems very nice. The doctor came in and talked to me and had a packet of info that there's no way he could have known because he had never met me before. While I was there I saw it at as convenient and competency but the more I thought about it, the worse of a feeling I got from it. Is he doing this to everyone? IS everyone just getting the same treatment regardless if they need it or not? I did the scans they suggested, they urged me to remember that they would bill insurance and that I would get my money back after they did so. I spent almost $500 on images..when I left I got the feeling it was all just a well oiled machine (kind of like a snakey used car salesman). it has been 4 months and after getting my dental insurance to reach out to them TWICE, they finally filed the insurance claim. I got word today that it was denied because they're out of Network. OUT OF NETWORK? THAT'S FUNNY, because their website literally says this "we do file all applicable insurance claims, you will be responsible for the treatment fee in it's entirety to our office, and in turn, your medical insurance benefit will go directly to you." I was told when I was there that I would get the money back from my insurance, so I looked it up today and turns out they aren't even in network. This orthodontist isn't in network with one of the biggest dental insurance companies in the nation? are all his patients rich or are we all getting screwed over? He also tired to get me to pay 5k for a splint, which when I went to a DDS in lexington I was quoted 2k. So, I urge you to look into the scam of this place and see why they are skimming money off their customers without full disclosure.
