On Wednesday, November 17th around 12 pm. I scheduled a technician to come out to my home on Monday, November 29th between 8 am and 12 pm. Also on November 17th, I called 1 (800) 432-2737 (a number belonging to GE) to ensure my washer was under warranty. They confirmed it was under warranty and confirmed my appointment for November 29th. On November 29th a technician arrived as planned, however, failed to complete his work. He claimed my washer was purchased in October 2020 (which was in fact not true). It was purchased November 2020. He claimed it was not covered under warranty, despite confirming GE indicated this was a "warranty repair". He continued to complain about "eating" the $89 for the service call, however, GE sent him out (warranty repair), therefore GE is responsible for paying him. He complained about the quality of the washer, noting he wouldn't wash a comforter in a top load, they're supposed to be washed in a front loader. He refused to fix my washer (the agitator does not agitate as it should) and quoted me $200+ to repair my washer (something in the agitator). I would like them to uphold what was presented to them which is a "warranty repair". If GE said it was under warranty and sent them out to fix it, it should've been fixed.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/12/19) */ G. E. appliances have a one year manufacture warranty. Customer contacted G. E. on 11/17/2021, the unit was purchased on 11/08/2020, therefore it is just out of the one year manufacture warranty. Yes G. E. did send it over as in warranty, however, when I go to submit the warranty its going to come back rejected. I have dealt with this issue in the past with G. E. And we have a copy of the purchase receipt provided by the customer. Some parts do have a 5 to 10 year warranty on them but not the agitator. Thank you and have a great day. Consumer Response /* (3000, 8, 2021/12/20) */ After 2 missed calls (without voicemail and 3 returned calls) Mr. Appliance finally called regarding my BBB complaint. ***** (the owner) was nasty to me. She had an attitude and wanted to argue about my washer not being in warranty. I explained to her GE said they were paying for the repair as they indicated it was covered. She continued to argue with me noting she goes through this all the time. GE saying, they will cover something, but don't. She noted she has to fight them to get the money. She noted she will soon be done dealing with GE due to this. I let her know GE scheduled them to come back out on Monday December 27th between 8 am - 12 pm. She continued to argue with me about the repair. I let her know I did not appreciate her attitude or being argumentative. She indicated she will deny the repair, told us to go somewhere else, and hung-up on me.
