On November 30, 2021, I ordered a gravestone from Longstreth Memorials of **** ***** ***** **** ******* ** *****, to be delivered to my hometown cemetery in ********** **. The agent, ******, and I determined that overall cost of the transaction, including tax, would be $4676.24. I made my down-payment, $2338.12 at that time, with the understanding that I would pay the remainder upon satisfactory delivery of my stone, expected sometime in March or April 2022. On March 6, 2022, I ate a late lunch at "*** ******* ***********" *** ** ******* **., ***** ********* ** *****. On the place mat, in the restaurant, I saw an ad from Longstreth Memorials, same address as above. At the bottom-right of the ad, I noted a coupon that stated: "Mention this ad to receive $100.00 off Your Monument Longstreth Memorials." No restrictions, stipulations or requirements were indicated. So, today, March 7, 2022, I called Longstreth Memorials, at their Bucyrus office and talked to Tara. I asked her, since there is still an outstanding payment of $2338.12 due upon delivery of my stone, to have $100 deducted from my bill, in accordance with the Longstreth coupon. Tara said she didn't know about the coupon, but put me on hold so she could call the company's owner, in Galion. In a few moments she was back, to report that the owner said that since I had ordered the stone more than 30 days ago, I couldn't use the coupon. This seems like deceptive or false advertising to me. Nothing in the ad says anything about 30 days or anything at all about eligibility, exceptions or anything else at all. It simply says, "Mention this ad to receive $100.00 off Your Monument." I want $100 deducted from the remaining amount due on my stone.Business response

We have credited ***** ******** account for the coupon of $100.00.(see attached) We will also mail ***** ****** the attached invoice showing credit.
Finally we contacted the advertising to correct the add that did not state the 30 day disclaimer on the add.
