I have had the same experience as the below reviews. I hired Chad to do some work post water damage via pipe burst. I will state that he did a lot of work that was not on the agreement, but what upsets me is the work on the agreement wasnt done. There was a lot of time wasted on electric work that i neber even agreed for him to do. I came home one day and he and his electrician were up in my attic ripping out wires and now i have lights flickering, light switches installed upside down…he jumps down your throat when you confront him on anything and just starts spatting off excuses. Everything started out great, Chad was friendly, on time, but then he started getting inappropriate. Sending shirtless pics of his abs and opening up about his personal life which was very uncomfortable for me. I never gave him any reason to think I was interested in him at all. I sent him multiple messages that I dont like his comments and that it’s uncomfortable and just want the job done or I will hire someone else. He assured me that he would be professional but it never happened. In fact it only got worse. He started arriving late, one time he never showed after confirming a time and date…and later that day sent me pictures from Florida saying he needed some “self reflection time” and “it feels good to have guys working my jobs at home while im getting paid to sit on the beach” I had a bad feeling about him from the start…but he was nice so I blew it off thinking maybe I was overreacting. My instincts about him were right. Like I mentioned, he did a lot of work outside of our contract, and I am appreciative of his help, but when it comes to being professional he isnt at all. I didnt pay him for the job as he insisted I keep my money; good thing because he left a mess i now have to pay someone else to clean up. Sounds like its a pattern with him. He was nice to me in the beginning bc he wanted more based off his texts and comments; I kept all the texts for proof. I do not recommend!

I read the review listed here and can state the same happened with us. Chad started out great, very professional, getting things done, talked a good game. I will be upfront, things were added to scope of work as we went along but we knew the work would be added onto our bill. He started earlier than what he originally thought he could so he got the demo done for the most part. We were having the kitchen gutted, the master bathroom we were expanding to have a huge walk in shower. We ended up having him replace all the drywall in the hallway due to wallpaper not coming off. He suggested a 2 sided fireplace as we had one in the kitchen. Some other misc work was also added, again we knew it would cost (we are both in construction). Then it started with didn't see or hear from him for a week or two, then he would show up for a day or 2 then same thing. He was supposed to start in March and be done in a month or 2. Sept 1st we finally changed our locks as we haven't heard from him in weeks and he wasn't answering our texts or calls. Not a single tile in the bathroom is lined up with any other tile, the trench drain is not in correctly, still no fireplace or the built ins for the sides of it, cabinets have to be touched up where he damaged them, we still have no lights in our garage, we had to buy a replacement garage door opener because he or his electrician had ripped out wires. He never covered any surfaces when working with mud or paint, he dropped something on kitchen floor and put big dent in my new hardwood floor. When we brought up the issues with him his excuse on some of it was he was only a carpenter so he didn't know how to do some of the stuff, well why didn't you just say so? We would have found someone to do those items. Oh and he had several cases of Covid which delayed him also, guy seems to get Covid a lot. NOT professional. Thank goodness we didn't pay him in full but did overpay for what we got.
