I called this company on June 6th 2024 to come and inspect my home for bedbugs they assured me I did not have them.*** the owner wouldn’t listen to a word I was telling him he spent less than 5 minutes in my home I have them on my security footage. He told me to get my cat and leave the premises he was going to spray something when I asked what they sprayed he would not tell me. I have a check that he cashed for $208.00 this company claims they had no record of servicing my home well they were bedbugs and my whole house is infested with them I lost my job of 4 years because of them I wake up every day with bite marks on me I clean and spray every day and have had to throw out almost everything I own I believe this could have been avoided if they didn’t just take my money and ran and feel they should be accountable for this situation they will not reply back when I reached out to themBusiness response

When a customer calls for an evaluation, standard procedure is to conduct an inspection first. The initial infestation is like finding a needle in a haystack when only several bugs are there undiscovered. Even the best efforts to confirm activity can be futile. We informed her no visible evidence of bedbugs was present at the time of inspection, and a recommendation for heat treatment couldn’t be given without conclusive evidence. Providing a heat treatment once activity is CONFIRMED is the best option. An alternative course of action at this point will assist in either eliminating the possibility of bed bugs, or confirming them.
A preventative option is offered to treat the home with a six month rated Insect Growth Regulator and contact killer to determine the infestation status. The client is informed that this course of action will reveal undiscovered activity, and provide the home with a pesticide agent that can head off an infestation. As long as proper monitoring and communication by the client is maintained, the determination for a heat treatment can be made. necessary steps can then be taken to completely eliminate any activity via a heat treatment.
Unfortunately we did not hear back from her, so no heat treatment was provided. We do not advocate pesticide as the choice solution.The only communication received from client was done several months later when she called to verbally attack us. It was not possible to work through a solution under these conditions.
We are willing and able to work with the client providing they wish to do the same.
We have provided over two thousand heat treatments in our eight years of business with consistent results in a bed bugs free home. Our guarantee reflects this outcome.If this client would have followed this course of action the results would’ve been the desired effect of complete elimination all activity, as we consistently do. Our track record reveals this. We are willing to refund her fee, or provide a discounted heat treatment, providing she would cooperate with us.

Paid for full service upfront, didn't wanna pay 150 dollars for service 30 days after, but was I felted pressured at the time to pay. Now Don't want the service after 30 days, just want refund.Business response

As we do every time, customer was informed at the time of the inspection prior to the heat treatment that there will be a charge of $150 plus tax for the 30 day follow-up after the initial service. Additionally, we granted a $150 discount off of the heat treatment to offset the cost. Sleeptite's heat treatment service was successfully conducted on the initial service day eliminating all bed bug activity from the home in one treatment. This is our consistency. Also, payment option was granted allowing two installments to make service affordable. We did not charge him for the follow-up as the service was refused while attempting to schedule with him. When we contacted the customer to schedule the follow-up service he was confused about the charge. Reminding him of our conversation, he then became agitated as he told us he has been taken advantage of in the past by another company and felt we were attempting to do the same. We reassured him of our history of integrity with all of our more than two thousand customers, and our outstanding A+ rating with the BBB to demonstrate our honesty. Unfortunately we are unable to refund a fee we have not collected. We successfully provided every service contracted to provide. Since we fulfilled our obligation, a refund of the heat treatment cannot be refunded.

Contacted Sleeptite on 1/09 for treatment for bedbugs Sleeptite had a cancelation for that Friday 1/12 and I scheduled for treatment that day. Owner, *** and one employee completed service. *** called be after 3 pm on 1/12 and said that there was a small burn from their heater that melted my carpet by the front door and said that if my landlord wanted it fixed he would turn into their insurance company. The landlord wants it fixed or they will not allow me to renew my lease. The burn is not small and there are melted lines up the steps from where the equipment sat. I was due for 30 day service on 2/14 but noone showed, I was bit by another bed bug, and *** was made aware. 2/14 sent an email to *** and called o with no response. 2/15- Called and text ***, *** answered, but asked to call me back in 15 minutes, called back over an hour later at 11:23 am, I returned his call at 11:29 am and no returned call the rest of the day. Even after sending text requesting a call. 2/16- called and text and *** answered my second call stating he was getting on a plane for Florida and would get me on the schedule the next week. 2/17- reached out to *** about being on the schedule, he called twice but I missed the calls, he text and said he had a emergency and would get to me the following week. I explained that I was over 30 day past for my 30 day treatment and that my carpet needed repaired. No response. 3/6- called and sent text because I never got a call from the company no response. 3/7- Text no response. Please not that the total amount he charged was $2166 with $1100 down and 2 payments $525, I've paid $1625. *** has included the prevention $150. $25 for every piece of furniture to be sp***ed. The couch was not sp*** because it was leaving the home but I was charged and the mattress protector were on already and also were not sp***ed.I was also over charged $375. I want refunded what I paid and my carpet repaired/replaced or the promised service and the carpet fixed.Business response

If she claims we haven't provided the discount I stated, then I'll send you the invoice. She refused our calls continuously. we requested the land lord information on the day of service, even stating that we would do repairs with our insurance coverage. She is extremely difficult to communicate with on every level. I'm still waiting for that phone number and name from ******

I am rejecting this response because: *** never asked for anything and is lying. Due to the lies, I will provide my landlord ***'s information, and they can contact him. I have responded to *** but only by text as he is not honest and I want a paper trail and before this review *** was not answeringhis calls, emails, or text. As stated before, he charged me $150 for a service he never completed and $25 for each piece of furniture that he also did not sp***(cameras can prove this) and there was covers on the mattresses already which is $250 . *** states that he gave a $500 discount when $400 he took off was work not completed. I do not even care about the discount. What I care about is his lack of communication and now the lies. Once my landlord contacts *** and *** follows through, I will accept the terms.
