We have had no issues with the company until about 2-3 months ago when we started getting electric bills that were almost $600. We moved from next door into this place about 6 months or so ago. We have fixed some things that we thought might’ve been the issue but our bills are still extremely high for a family of 3. My husband called them a few days ago to figure out why our bill is this high and the lady that he spoke to, informed him that they base usage off of the previous year. My mom was having the same issue when she lived at this residence. My husband then informed the lady that they cannot do that because we did not live here the previous year. My husband looked at the bill then checked the meter and it’s like they aren’t reading the meter and that they are trying to charge us what they want to charge us with. I feel that it isn’t right for them to just charge us based off of whoever lived here last year.Business response

This is the first time we have been contacted or received anything from BBB concerning ******* **********.
My response to this complaint is that I did not tell her husband that we base our usage/billing off of previous months usage/billing. I told them that when I look back on this account's past years usage, the readings were comparable. We read our water and electric meters every month. The ************ moved to this address and failed to inform us, as the account is still in the previous tenant's name.
It appears that the trailer has no underpinning as it is wrapped in plastic. The windows are not insulated and one window is boarded up with OSB.
I have included statements, high-lighting the electric usage and also pictures of the trailer showing no underpinning and windows.

there is NO boarded up windows and there is some underpinning underneath my trailer. It’s funny we lived here for the past several months then all of a sudden the past 2 months our bills are almost $600 dollars. If a so called boarded up window and “no underpinning” had anything to do with a high electric bill then our bill would have been as high as it is now before now. I’m not the only person that’s complained about this same issue. And my mother is living with us whom the bill is in her name.
