I had an absolutely terrible experience with JWH Excavating. They dropped off a load of gravel at my house, and the driver managed to smash into my garage with their dump truck. To make matters worse, they didn't have the courtesy to inform me about the accident or even leave a note. Instead, they just drove off like nothing happened. I've been trying to contact JWH Excavating multiple times, leaving voicemails and sending messages, but it seems like they're actively avoiding me. Their lack of professionalism and responsibility is appalling. It's not just about the damage to my property but also the complete disregard for their actions and the subsequent lack of communication. I would strongly advise anyone considering JWH Excavating to think twice and look for a more reliable and responsible company. This experience has been a nightmare, and I wouldn't want anyone else to go through something like this.Customer response

I have two exterior cameras but neither got film of the actual accident, but I was inside and heard it and it is the only vehicle that has been on this property tall enough to even hit that part of the garage. They were also the only ones there that day so very obvious it was them..Business response

My name is Samantha H***** and I am the Office Manager at JWH Excavating Inc Landscaping Supplies. I have never personally spoke with the consumer making this complaint. I'm assuming he is having some kind of work done at his home, his contractor (**** with *** **********, whom we have done business with for years.) ordered the gravel to be delivered. Per my driver and **** with *** ********** when my driver arrived someone backed him up to where they wanted the gravel dumped, and when doing so the dump truck bed put a small dent in the gutter on the garage. **** did call me and let me know about the dent, we do have a policy hung here at the store that states "We are not responsible for any damage or the need for towing of our dump truck as a result of delivering inside the curb line or on private property. Any damage to private property, JWH Dump truck, or other equipment incurred due to delivery inside the curb line and/or on private property shall be the sole responsibility of the customer." **** called me later on that day and told me he smoothed everything out with the home owner. **** did call later on and ordered a second load of gravel to be sent out to the home in Cincinnati later on in the week.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.This is the first time JWH has even responded to me in any form at all, calls ignored and voicemails not returned. The response given is completely and provably false. I have video of the dumpt ruck backing up and there is no one else there, so to say someone backed him up or directed the JWH driver is a flat out lie. You can claim that your not responsible for damage that your drivers do but that's not how the law works there buddy as you will soon find out.

As I was not there myself, I am going by what my dump truck driver & **** the customer who ordered the gravel stated, that my dump truck driver was backed up to the spot to dump and while raising the bed it made a small dent in the gutter on the garage. I have not received any voicemails from a ******** ******. I apologize again for the inconvenience but as stated on signage at our store location, we are not responsible for damage on private property. **** from *** ********** called me and said it was smoothed over with the home owner.

* If not, why? They are aware of damages caused but claim they aren't liable because they say so, literally ignoring all laws and regulations and just decided they are immune to liability. I guess that's how it works now so with this insane logic I'm not liable if I drive over to your building and ram my truck through your doors and park in your lobby then am I? This is a case of extreme negligence on behalf of this JWH co and driver, imagine running into a building and thinking that's ok what if my kid was outside??* If an offer of resolution was made, has the company fulfilled the proposed offer? No they admit they did it and are playing make believe that they aren't responsible. Over something so small they could easily fix and rectify instead they run and hide like children what a joke.

Please be aware this complaint was not made until three months after the gravel had been delivered. The gravel was ordered by *** ********** a customer we have had for many years. When my driver arrived at the location he was backed up by an employee of *** ********** when dumping as told by the employee the bed of the truck did DING the gutter. I spoke with **** regarding the issue and he stated he would repair the small ding. I spoke with **** a week ago from today and he stated his customer *** ****** had called the Indian Hill Rangers on him, and he will not be returning to the location. I'm not quite sure how to resolve this issue. It is printed on signage at our store location we are not responsible for any damage done beyond the curb or private property. We will hired to deliver gravel to *** ********** at the homeowners location. Please let me know if there is anything else you need from us regarding this compliant. Thank you.Customer response

It hasn't even been 3 months since the incident and I called a day or two later to no answer left voicemails. Then reported here within a week. This scam company believes they can damage peoples property and then say its fine because they have an internal "policy" that holds themselves not liable.
