company was asked to pick mower up and replace battery simple fix.. got the mower back and the handle on the mower that makes the blades move was broken off. Bad Business I called to inquire an let them know that they brung the mower back broken actual the person on the other end said it wasnt me I did try to explain to them why would i break a mower and say you guys did it and you kept my mower for 3 weeks just to replace a battery. and charged me 300.00 dollars to do that Im sitting here on 1.5 acres of land and using a push mower to mow..... Ridiculous!!! bad business dont know what happened to this company but the service use to be really good. Now you just can not trust them to do honest business with you especially if you're a women. I have lost a lot of trust for this company because when you bring a mower back broken, and you broke it ---that says a lot about your business.... I am a disabled veteran, and we deserve better heck we all deserve better but the fact that veterans are part of the reason this country is standing and not having to look over your shoulder speaks volume about how you treat peopleBusiness response

Customer knew the price ($212.58 NOT $300.Includes Pick up and delivery, battery, labor and tax ). She called and had a concern, we offered to pick the mower back up. When we showed up she would not answer the door and cancelled her credit card payment. Grass was mowed oddly enough. Customer is a thief by cancelling payment and we didn't break anything on the mower. We simply checked charging system, replaced the battery and tested starting of the mower.
Payment is getting turned over to collections

I am 69 years old on a fixed income. I have been doing business with this company for many years. Every year I take my lawn mower in for service because I bought it from them. This year I bought a $1,000 battery operated push mower. The owner assured me he had a battery operated zero down just as powerful as my gas mower, adn would cut 4 acres. I am in a wheelchair, so I never saw it before it was delivered. They brought it by, and I traded my Simplicity mower for this new one.
I used it, but it did not finish my lawn. I called and said I wanted me old one back, and to come pick this one up. he said he would call me back. He didn't call back. so I called him again, and he hung up.

Before we traded mowers the customer looked and the mfg website several times. We offered to pick up the mower and ensure there wasn't an issue with the batteries.
The customer wanted a mulch kit installed and we did knowing it would impact run time. Customer also wanted a rear basket installed and we did this as well. The mfg is the one who states 4 acres one charge. Granted a mulch kit will lower the capacity of the machine.
The last time we spoke, customer stated he would keep the mower if he didn't owe anything on his account for the mulch kit or basket.

I took my John Deere riding mowing in for service 2-16-22. The installed a new battery for $159 w/o my permission. I checked on the repair they told me about the battery. It was more than the the service call would be. I asked why they didn't call me, they said "Well, we can take the new battery out & reinstall the old battery." "The old battery had a hole in it." It was very nonchalant. When it was returned to me I looked at the new battery & there was acid all over the platform it sat in. I called & spoke to Paul, the owner. He said,"No one likes to work with acid." I told him it needs to be cleaned off. Also, the front small tire was almost flat. The hood is plastic & they cracked it. I told them to take it back fix the flat, clean the acid, & put some kind of glue on the hood. They took mower back. after 1 1/2 wk I checked & everything but the hood they ordered expoxy glue no in yet. I asked for my mower back. someone in my family would fix the hood. I paid the service fee Battery $159.74 total being $429.67. When they delivered the big tire was flat. My brother took the big tire to be fixed for $10 it has a hole in it. And he glued the hood. But during mowing vibrations will break it again. I don't trust any thing they did.Customer response

3-28-22 Per conversation with consumer, she would like to add to the complaint that when she received her mower back, the two hard plastic rollers on the back of the mower deck were cracked. She had to take a screw driver and pry them off. They were attached to rubber. She kept the pieces so she can show them to the business.Business response

The crack on the hood was an older crack by evidence of the dirt at the spot. Pictures attached. A fresh crack on plastic would not have any dirt at this location. The customer spoke with Darrell about the battery and she said ok. Autozone, advanced and napa had the battery listed at $165 - $229 (all batteries have gone up this year.. everything has gone up actually)
The mower came in for a Tuneup which does not include tire repair or any other repair outside of the tuneup package.
Tuneup: Service Performed
Tune up includes the following items: Please note that not every unit will require every item. Clean, disassemble, remove or rebuild carburetor as needed. Change engine oil, (change oil filter if equipped). Replace spark plugs. Clean or replace air filter. Replace fuel filter. Adjust throttle control cable and choke control cable. Test compression. Test ignition system. Test charging system / battery / and electric starter (if equipped). Clean battery terminals. Clean grass and debris from engine, underside of deck, top of deck, steering and transmission areas. Grease all grease fittings. Check tires and air pressure. Check mower deck wheels / rollers. Inspect mower drive belts. Check blade spindle bearing condition. Precision sharpen and balance blades. Check transmission and replace filter if needed. Check transmission drive belts.Customer came into the shop with her husband and they yelled at everyone trying to get their way. I went ahead and fixed one of the tires at no charge and had the battery tray cleaned up.
She said she would repair the hood or had someone who could do it.
We will not do any work at a customers house as insurance does not cover that and what she wants is outside of the tuneup as listed.
